I never write fluff. I physically can't write fluff. But this is a fluke day where all I write is fluffy Makorra stuff, so enjoy.

Moonlight pools in through the window, waves splash against the rocks outside and the wind is carried in the trees, rustling the leaves back and forth. Mako shifts in his bed, covers turning, twisting around him and suddenly he is jolted awake, eyes bright and alert. He groans, lifts himself up and leans against the headboard.
His stomach gives out a loud howl.
Mako wakes up hungry.
Still groggy, Mako grabs his jacket and manages his way out of the boy's dormitory. He walks down the rock lined path to the Airbender's house and tries to remember where the kitchen is. They've only been here a few days and Mako doesn't exactly know which way is which. He sighs, sitting down on the wooden walkways along the edge of the house and looks out into the sea. Something catches his eye, a shadow rustling in the distant tree-line, and Mako walks over, searching through the brush.
"Hey." A voice calls out.
Mako jumps, fire held high in his fist, aimed toward the trees. A similar fire pops out among the leaves and there he see Korra; sitting on a branch of an old straggled tree.
"Korra?" he asks, wondering if his eyes were playing tricks on him. "What are you doing up there?"
"Probably the same as you," she says, reaching up into the tree for second before yanking something off a branch to throw at him. "Catch."
The fire goes out in his palm and he reaches out to catch what she's thrown. Something smacks against his hand and he holds it up what moonlight is breaking through the trees. It's a piece of fruit; red and juicy. He looks up at the tree she's in.
"What? You're hungry, right?" she asks, a mouthful of fruit muffling her voice. "Eat up, it tastes really good."
He looks at her, then to the fruit in his hand. He gives it a few rubs on his jacket before looking it over a second time and taking a quick bite into it. His mouth explodes with flavor; sweet and juicy, Mako isn't sure he's had this before, but doesn't find it in himself to really care. He takes another bite and above him, Korra smiles in the dark.
"See? Told you." She chides.
She leaps down from the tree, leaves floating down to the ground and holds out her hands to him, presenting more delicious fruit. He takes them, still chewing the first one, and Korra walks off into the moonlight.
"Come on, there's plenty more where that came from."
