A lone Impmon rowed a boat lone wooden boat through the choppy water towards Digi Isle. His arms were sore from pulling and pushing the oars through the water since sneaking off the ship he had originally set sail on, but he desperately wanted a head start on arriving at the island. As the boat reached the shore he let the waves push him the rest of the wave to the beach and got out to drag the boat onto the beach so it wouldn't be swept out to sea by the waves.

With that done, he took an opportunity to marvel at the island, seeing how lush and green it was, except for the tall mountains that were located deep in the jungle. The island was a lot bigger than one would assume. It even felt more like its own world separate from the rest of the Digital World, but that was part of what made it so mysterious. Of course, the island itself did very little to peak the Impmon's interest. What he had his eyes on was a treasure that was rumored to have been hidden on the island by a legendary pirate, the great Captain Gourmet. Legend had it that he had stolen his weight gold and jewels and considering his vast size it was enough to make any treasure seeker or money luster drool with greedy delight and this Impmon fell into both categories.

"This treasure will make me rich," he snickered devilishly. "Richer than anyone else, at least since that old fatso of a pirate plundered the Digi Seas." The Impmon grabbed his duffle bag from the boat and looked at his supplies, a map of the island, a transcript of Captain Gourmet's last words before he was sentenced to deletion for his crimes, a few odd objects that were supposed to be vital in obtaining the treasure based off his own and tons of other treasure enthusiasts research that he looked up and purchased online, and a big piece of meat he took from the ship to eat. His belly rumbled telling him the meat was the first thing he'd need to use after expending so much energy just getting to the island and he happily tore into it till only the bone remained. "Now to get started on finding the treasure." He looked at the transcript to see where to start.

- I don't regret the choices that I've made or deny that I deserve my fate after all this time. It is probably for the best that I be executed as a public spectacle rather than fade away along among my treasure in the deep dank darkness. It would just be worthless baubles in that sense and history would only see me as just a pirate that just faded away. Now I will always have a place in history.

The Impmon rolled his eyes showing no interest in such in his recollection of his life. He wanted to hear only about where he stashed all his loot. Doing his best to endure, he read on.

- Now that I've gotten that out of the way, I be there are a lot of greedy scumbags out there not interested in hearing the words of an old sea dog and just want to get their hands on my treasure. Well let me be the first to say that this is not a treasure for one who values their old life over treasure for even an instant no matter how small. Only the greediest of the greed that have the stomach for anything. Anyone who can do this and find my treasure I will relinquish all rights I have to it to you. *chuckles* If I had any legal rights to it in the first place. Anyway, to start your journey go to Digi Isle where I have hidden my fortune and find the beach with the two palm trees twisted together into an arch like a doorway into the forest and follow the pathway. Keep going and you'll know when to stop.

The Impmon looked up from the manuscript grinning. "That's more like it," he stated looking around at the jungle for the twisted palm trees. His eyes widened when he spotted the specified arch and quickly ran through it. "This is a lot easier than I thought. Finding this treasure is going to be a cinch."

While walking on the path, he checked out the transcript again, but there was nothing after he read meaning he was on his own from there. He figured there wouldn't be a full walkthrough there, but he never found a puzzle he couldn't solve though a solution page was nice to have.

The Impmon stashed the transcript and checked the map. He calculated he had gone a bit inland following the trail, but this particular one wasn't marked on the map so he had no idea where it would lead him. All he knew for sure was that it would hit him when he knew it and as he focused on the map instead of where he was going and bumped his head into something and fell over.

"Yeow!" he cried rubbing his bruised forehead to soothe the pain. "Who leaves a stupid stone table in the middle of a path?" He paused a moment and noticed that the path ended at the table and just like Captain Gourmet stated he would know when to stop. "Looks like I have found the next clue." Immediately he began searching over every inch of it in hopes of finding a switch or something that would point where he had to go next. He was even desperate enough to try some gum stuck underneath the table to no avail. He spat it out and took a seat on the table grumbling under his breath. He was starting to believe this was either a fool's quest that the good captain set up to fool gullible, greedy, morons, or perhaps his treasure was that table. He slammed his fists on the table feeling defeat with either situation, but became intrigued when he saw a burger on a plate between his arms now.

"What do we have here?" asked the Impmon to himself. "A burger? Hmm, looks like I stumbled on something." He picked it up and gave it a taste. It was by far the best burger he ever had, but that was little surprise to him as Captain Gourmet was synonymous with delicious-tasting food. He ate it up in a few bites and patted his belly. As he did he noticed it had a bit of a bugle to it. It wouldn't have been so bad if it was just from the food he ate, but it was a soft layer of fat that seemed to appear as soon as he swallowed down the burger.

It didn't take a genius to figure out that this wasn't just a regular burger or table from the bulge. On top of that, there was no a new burger on his plate waiting to be eaten. Recalling what the good captain had said he had to become just like him to get his treasure and that didn't just apply to his greed, but also his obesity and gluttony as well. He was right about another thing too, a Digimon with any sense that couldn't be clouded by greed or gluttony would have stopped right there and avoided what was likely to come and given up, but this Impmon was as greedy as they come and started to bite into the new burger faster than the last. Each time he swallowed his belly bugled bigger, though he didn't even notice. All that was on his mind was the treasure and that made him plow through one burger after another.

All his eating was starting to cause the seat he was sitting on to sink into the ground bit by bit as he packed on the pounds. His normally lithe body was gaining a gut and rounding him out. It also spread to his butt that was normally nonexistent. His thighs started to swell larger too, but they didn't get far as he heard a clicking sound as his seat hit a switch and opened up an underground passage nearby. Drooling at the thought of what treasures were hidden in it he hurried down the steps, his belly bouncing with his hasty steps. He only slowed down as it grew dark so he took a torch from his duffle bag to help light the way.

The passage didn't go down as deep as the Impmon expected as he saw the roots of the palm trees all around him. He had to maneuver through some that grew in the way of the passage, but even with the added weight it was easy enough to get past.

Soon the passage was blocked by a stone wall with some words covered into it. "He who wears the mantle of Captain Gourmet shall eat cake and be one step closer to the sweet rewards you seek," he read solving the riddle almost instantly.

"There was only one mantle a lard-filled pirate like Captain Gourmet wore was a bib," said the Impmon to himself. He dug around in his duffle bag and pulled out a black bib with a skull and crossbones on it. It was a recreation of the one Captain Gourmet always wore minus all the sauce stains and crumbs that had been encrusted in it. The Impmon tied it on over his bandana and waited for something to happen and as if by magic reacting to the bib, a beam of like appeared below him and seemed to be scanning him as a ring surrounded his body and began going up and down him scanning particularly around his bulging belly and then at the bib on his chest. Once the scan was complete the light faded and everything seemed to be the same as before. That wasn't entirely true as a spot on the wall was not different, not made of dirt but something else entirely. "What do we have here now?"

Carefully, the Impmon stuck his fingers into the spot and pulled some of the stuff out. From the feel it was a soft, almost spongy and smelled of sweets. When he took a taste he was able to confirm without a shadow of a doubt that it was delicious cake and he now found his path was blocked with cake and the only way he was going to get through was once again by eating. He was about to start digging in when he considered how stained his gloves would end up as he noticed a bit of chocolate cream inside the cake. Before he started eating he removed the gloves from his purple digits and put them in his duffle bag before. With his short yet pointy nails now available to him he knew he'd have a much easier time digging his way through the cake and tunnel his way closer to the treasure.

Plunging his hand deep into the cake, he pulled out a big chunk and stuffed it into his face to munch it down quick. As he did, his other hand was already grabbing another chunk when he was ready for it and devoured it as quickly as the first and he was getting ready for the third. The more he ate, the more it added to his belly and it spread around to his rump and limbs, but he didn't notice this as he focused only on his goal. Before long he was making good progress with his tunnel, his whole body in and dozens of mouthfuls of cakes swallowed. His nails were dirty from all the cake under them and his whole body was a mess with frosting as he brushed against the walls. He learned to be careful when clawing at the cake after he ended up with a few mouthfuls of cake mixed with dirty. By the time he realized his mistake he was already swallowing it down and made him feel sick, but not enough to diminish his lust for the treasure and he kept digging. Meter after meter his body became fatter all over. Soon his belly developed folds and his chest started to sag as a pair of moobs. On top of them rested a second chin that had just started from. His cheeks looked so much puffier now after eating so much and with the frosting covering his face and crumbs caked into it he appeared to have a very sweet beard. His bib had quickly become stained as he wiped his hands on it every once in a while out of habit, obscuring the Jolly Roger. As his neck grew thicker he had to loosen the strands on the bib to keep it comfortable, however, he forgot to do it for his bandana. As a result the threads on it were starting to strain and tear as his neck fat increased bit by bit slowly removing the distance between his head and shoulders. His waist and rear were quickly swelling much bigger than the tunnel used to be, but he even gave any notice as the tunnel actually widened to compensate for this and make him not suspect his gain was as great as it was if that through ever came to mind. Slowly, his thickening, tail was becoming stubbier as it was lost between his two big purple cheeks and continued to get smaller as he progressed.

By the time he dug into the cake tunnel and found light on the other end he had gone through several thresholds starting at plump at the start of the tunnel, reaching plump while he was still near the start and making it to fat partway through. Now that he was finally out he was officially obese, though he didn't notice the couple hundred pounds now sagging on him. All he cared about was figuring out the next clue and seeing a giant tank of buttermilk before him and a padlocked door not far away helped him figure out to do without even thinking about it.

"The key has got to be in this tank," he deduced. "I am just going to have to drink up all the milk to get to it. This works out just fine for me, I needed to wash down all that cake anyway." He took the hose and turned the nozzle. Interestingly enough, he could only turn the flow on at max force which he found out as soon as the gushed into his mouth flowed down his throat. The flow was so strong that it was even overflowing out of his mouth and down his chins onto his belly. The more he drank, the more his belly continued to fill like a giant water balloon swelling below his waist towards his knees.

As it began to digest in his belly it once again caused his body to gain weight and get fatter and fatter. As his neck fat expanded his bandana tore even more before finally falling off and landing at his feet without his notice, though his neck fat did jiggle finally being freed from its confinement. His butt kept growing swallowing up his rear and his arms and legs grew thick with feet giving him a very sumo-like appearance. His chins increased to four draping down over his chest and resting on his moobs that sagged while growing fuller and plumper. Still, they were no match for his gargantuan belly that was out two feet wider and a foot wider on either side of him. His belly was full and bulging, but as it digested into fat it gave him more rolls all over his belly and love handles at his size. With a content smile on his face, he patted his plump belly with his fatty fingers.

"Talk about quenching a big thirst," chuckled the Impmon since there was nobody else to laugh as his jokes. "Now where is that key?"

He searched the tank diligently for any signs of a key, but there wasn't one. Instead, he discovered a message that he read after a burp escaped his throat. "I bet you thought there was a key in here the second you got in here. You must be pretty greedy to drink all that milk and I have to say I'm impressed. Now go and get the treasure if you have the stomach for it. C. G." Below it was a crude picture that the Impmon could only assume was a picture of Captain Gourmet's head and he was sticking his tongue at the unsuspecting fool who just drink down all that milk. He shrugged it off and went to see the door and inspect the look. Though it appeared to be locked, in truth it only looked like that at a distance and just had to be removed for anyone to move on.

"Alright, let's see what else you have in store for me," shouted the Impmon. "I can handle anything you can dish out!"

That may have been a pour choice of words for him to use as one challenge after another, some he had to do and some that only appeared he had to do like the milk tank. It didn't matter as he ate his way through everything. Each challenge added to his weight making him more and more obese to the point he was the envy of sumo wrestlers. His arms and legs were so thick with fat; he could have fit his chubby self in there. His belly was enormous to say the least. It was like a boulder that touchdown against his feet and had a pair of moobs that would have been the envy of any woman who saw them. His rear was like a pair of bean bag chairs secured against his legs. There was a little point between his cheeks was all that remained of his tail. When the Impmon went to lick his fingers clean after a meal he found his fatty digits were thick like sausages and he could only fit two of three fingers in his mouth at once.

On top of getting so ridiculously fat he was also a lot bigger in sense of size too. He was taller than a Guilmon and his body was proportioned to fit too. He didn't question as to why he had changes as he did or why despite eating so much he never felt full. He could have considered it his greed driving him forward, but even his normal amount of greed wouldn't have let him ignore this as he became a big, fat, slobby, shadow of his former self.
It seemed like nothing was going to be able to stop him from finding the treasure, but just as he ate his way through an army of gingerbread soldiers who ran at the sight of him eating some of their fellow soldiers he reached a room with dozens of doors and a tablet in the center. Waddling over with steps that shook the ground and made his whole body jiggle like gelatin.

"There is only last challenge before my treasure is all yours. Choose a path. If you choose right get all that I have left in this world or choose wrong and end up with none. Now prove to me once and for all that you have what it takes to obtain my inheritance."

The Impmon looked around, but none of the paths seemed to house any hint to which was the right way. He scratched his head with his meaty hand and grumbled under his breath. He was so close and now he was stumped by something as simple as choosing a door. He had researched so much and nothing spoke of something like this. "There has to be something I overlooked." His mind raced as he thought over every clue he had. Then his eyes widened as something in particular stuck out from the beginning of that transcript.

- It is probably for the best that I be executed as a public spectacle rather than fade away along among my treasure in the deep dank darkness.

"Deep, dank, darkness," he read. "That's where he hid his treasure." Carefully, he looked over each passage noting what each one was like. There were hot ones, dark ones, lit up ones, ones that smelled very questionable or something else, but there was only one that he could consider to be deep, dank, and dark all in one. Carefully he followed it finding it go down more and more. Before long the whole cave was wet all over. The smell of salty sea water was also growing very strong. A little further down he found a great big cavern with an old pirate ship docked in it.

Eagerly, the blobby Impmon waddled his way to it and stopped at a plank bridging the ship to the shore. Slowly he put a foot on it and felt it creak against his weight. He took another step and felt it bend more, but not break.

"This is a weak board," he thought to himself as he crossed one step at a time. He didn't even realize it was straining under how much he weighed now and not how he was before. Luckily for him, he made it across and unto the boat. He could practically smell the treasure, but sniffing the air only made him sneeze from the abundance of dust covering the ship. Covering his nose with one hand, the Impmon began to search the ship from top to bottom for the treasure, but there didn't seem to be any on board. He considered it might be hidden somewhere and searched under every loose floorboard, in the cannons and barrels, in every room, and even each fridge and cupboard in the kitchen. Ironically, out of all the places the Impmon found food, the kitchen was barren.

Hours of searching yielded not even a single gold coin. Tired, the Impmon retreated to the Captain's Quarters to ponder this over. It was there he discovered a letter from the good captain himself. Eagerly, he took it and laid in the nearby bed to read it. With each sentence his arms trembled more and a look of dread appeared on his pale face.

- I'm sure that by the time you are reading this you have searched my ship for treasure and came up empty. Well let me congratulate you on finding my ship. Now I have good news and bad news to tell you. First, the good. You have proven yourself worthy of my inheritance. The bad news is that there is no gold or jewels awaiting you. I guess you never considered that I spent practically every ounce of treasure I got on food to satisfy my insatiable appetite. Still, I promised an inheritance and you got it. Through all the trials you have completed you have eaten special food laced with a copy of my data. The more you ate the more it integrated my obesity and insatiable appetite. By the time you have reached my ship you should have become at least as obese as me, but if you are as greedy as I expect you are you are even larger than that. If that is true, that you have surpassed even my level of gluttony. Are you the first to make it here or were there others before you because as I'm sure you realized by now it was incredibly simply to navigate your way here. I am sure there will be plenty of you angry for me doing this to you and some among you will want to take someone down with you. I encourage such behavior to spread my gluttony and help my legend to live on. Thank you for your interest in treasure and have a nice day. C.G.

The Impmon screamed so loud his voice echoed throughout the cave. He had wasted all this time trying to get the treasure and now he could see just how overweight he had become. Right now, he could imagine all those others on the forum he talked with as obese as him and leading him down the same fattening path they went on. He thrashed about in a frenzy that only lasted a few moments as he was much too obese to do a lot of physical activity for quite some time. When he was able to calm down he decided to do two things. The first was to find some more gingerbread men for a little snack. The second was to find some unsuspecting sap on the forum and point him in the right direction of this so called treasure that was truly the curse of being greedy.
