Here's a random Florina x Hector scenario I just thought of the other day. Short and not very descriptive, but hey, it's pretty much impromptu, so I have an excuse, right? (And right now, I should be working on my online class, but am I? No…but…well, hey, I'm going to do it later, all right??)
Disclaimer: I do not own the characters or whatever of Fire Emblem.
Reason to Win
His red cape fluttered behind him as he looked upon the massive coliseum. Anticipation lit his face. He could already imagine the fierce warriors he could fight in the depths of that building. He turned his head for a fleeting moment, hoping that his friends would not notice his temporary absence. Surely they would not mind earning extra gold, would they? And besides, he could gain a little experience, too.
He proceeded with his eyes fixed upon the small arched door that would lead to the battlefield. He could feel strength surging in his arms; he was ready to swing his mighty axe in a duel against the best fighters of the area. He played various battle scenarios in his head, calculating tactics and ideas of how to best his match. Ah, this was the life…
He apparently did not notice the small shadow creeping up beside him. The timid pegasus knight did not mean to stalk him; she knew where he was going and was attempting to catch up. "Lord Hector," she mumbled. "Um…"
His ears had been completely turned off. He could only hear the sounds of cheering crowds, ones that he had invented in his mind. He was clearly unshaken by her soft voice. "Lord Hector…," she muttered again.
The girl decided to walk faster. She gently clutched the side of his cape when she approached. With a gentle tug, she said once more, "Lord Hector?"
The lord paused and glanced at her. "Oh, Florina, what are you doing here?"
"I…," she sheepishly looked away. "I saw you were going to the c-coliseum. I ju…just…"
Lord Hector looked about frantically, knowing that he might get in trouble with Lord Eliwood if she told. "Don't tell anyone, ok?" he whispered.
"N-no, I w-wouldn't tell…"
She patiently tried to form words. "I'm just here b-because I wanted you to stay safe…I…I don't want you to get hurt…"
"Oh," he said, nervously scratching the back of his head.
"B-be careful, please?" she asked, pleading him with her turquoise eyes.
He grinned. "Don't worry, I'll be safe."
With a flash of confidence on his face, he proceeded into the arena. He now had an even better reason to win.
Well, there you go. :D Please leave a review; I would appreciate encouragement/criticism very much. Don't ask for a sequel though; I rarely make sequels. Just pretend that they all lived happily ever after, ok? Thanks for reading. (Wow, it turned out a bit longer than I thought…)
