So Hi, I'm writing again. Don't be mad please, I wrote this quickly. I didn't have a lot of time, time was running out on my test. But I got an A+ on it. Enough of the rambling. Let the reading begin!
Disclaimer: Yup. I am Louis Sachar. I own Holes. I am a man. I wrote the script for the movie. YEAH RIGHT!
Stanley sat at his desk, trying to find the words to say to his friend. How could he express his feelings to him? Nothing would come out right! He tried it again.
Dear Hector, 8 July, 2020
It's been a long time. I haven't seen you since Dad's funeral. I'm writing to you because last night, I dreamed of Camp Green Lake. Oh, and it didn't help that today is Zigzag's Birthday.
Anyway, I dreamed of lots of times we spent a camp, but the main thing was the night I carried you up the mountain. Remember? The cement of our friendship. Anyway, I realized that I
hadn't told you what an impact you made on my life. From the day I taught you to write, you were my best friend. You showed me that everyone has potential, no matter
what people thinkāand also that one shouldn't judge a book by it's cover. You changed my life. Nothing good would have happened to me had I not met you,
had I not become your friend. You broke a curse, you saved a family line. I hope Becky and Stanley and I can come visit you. Give our love to you, Lisa and Charles.
Sincerely,
Stanley Yelnats IV
He re-read the letter. The best yet. Stanley smiled. Maybe this would get his feelings across. He sealed the letter and mailed it.
Review.
