Darkness was closing in around Tonks, she knew that she was passing on and turned seeing Remus waiting for her by the main gates of the school. The cries of victory from her aunt Bellatrix were nothing more than distant whispers in her ears as she caught the first hints of Remus's voice calling her name. In fact her was calling her Nymphadora, the name that she hated beyond anything else in the world. "Don't call me Nymphadora, Remus Lupin." She hissed as she rose and walked towards the only man that she could ever love. Picking up the pace to a dead run she threw her arms around him and pulled him in tightly, hugging him to her. "I love you." She whispered into his ear before kissing along his neck slowly. "We should get back to the fight." She said as she started to pull back from him, her hair sparkling raven black with electric purple highlights.

"No Dora, we can't" Remus said softly as he turned her in his arms to look back towards the school. There lying in the middle of the court yard was her body, deaths shroud had already taken its hold over her thin frame. Her skin was graying and all the color from her hair was gone, leaving it her natural light brown. "We're dead love..." He whispered into her ear as he wrapped his arms around her tightly. "Like so many others before us, our time has come. At least we are together and Teddy is safe." He sighed as he nuzzled her neck gently.

The touch was comforting to her, however it did not stop the panic from racing through her. "Remus, if we're dead...are you sure mum can tend to Teddy?" She asked as she turned within his arms and sighed. "I never wanted to leave him like this. Never wanted any of this for us." She sighed then looked at him with her twinkling eyes. "Can I meet the others now?" She asked softly.

Just then they were moved to Kings Cross Station, waiting for them were her father, Sirius, James, Lily and all the others. Including Fred, Severus and Dumbledore. "Took you long enough mate." Sirius joked as he embraced his long time friend once more. "See you brought my cousin with you. Good choice Moony, good choice indeed."

And so it went with the warm welcomes as the group was united once more to enjoy the spoils of the afterlife.
