Prologue:The Blood War

Hildefort's Journal

Flames, 12 of the year 24-2ªAge

All started in a red night, people getting away of their houses, the flames burning everything: the streets, the market, the people. There is no one who could escape; the death was a matter of time. Some of then ask to their gods, angels, demons or entities at least a bit of mercy, but it was useless, was a plea in vain because when they look above the only thing that they saw was a sky with a red moon, arrows burning, meteors and monsters flying. The ancients never said or alert the population about some kind of prophecy, even they didn't know anything.

A lot of historians say that was a brutal war, without hope or comeback, created by Gods to extinguish everything cruel in this world. This is what the books says, but in my recently searches in ruins bring me a new vision of this part of history, for me the war was not purposeful, for me was a mistake. Of Gods ? Maybe… however as I do not believe in intervention of entities, I think that a mistake like this only could happen by an earthly being.

I also find some bones almost disintegrated, and despite being a specialist in archaeological and biological spells, I've never seen this before, the magic traces seems to be more powerful, more consistent, but they aren't compatible with anyone. I tried many times to recombine then without any results. Now, for some reason, I believe that still exist some surviving specimens.

Lastly, I have to thank my mate Ruppert who stays with me all this time and died because of a very strong magic coming from a stone that I couldn't find anymore. Thank you Ruppert, rest in the sacred fields of Minerva, goodbye old friend.

I think that's it for today. Tomorrow I will continue with my studies around this ruin, seems to have many stories to tell me and a lot of places to explore.
