Percy in Mary-Sue Land
A young Satyr ran, hurriedly up Half-Blood hill, tripping over his own hooves. Alec Dawn was running out of fear, out of fear of what was to come, what the oracle had predicted. The prophesy was terrifying, if not so sickening you would die of fright. The prediction was horrible and all Alec could do as protector of the Oracle was warn camp of the dangers ahead. The Mary-Sue's were coming and they were going to take over camp.
I was in a magical land filled with gum drops and other candy. On one side large black brick orphanages sat with a dull and eerie look to them. Next to those were ramshackled shacks that came with a dank and stale smell. Along with that, the smell of drugs and alcohol emitted from the dirty and graffiti covered high schools and middle schools across the way. Where the heck am I? I thought to myself wondering who the heck would live in a place like this. I tried to veer of the path and find a way out, but my feet must have a mind of their own because they kept on moving and then stopped in front of one the shacks. It was marked 5237 Airgoll Street. My arms apparently have a mind of their own, too, because they moved up and opened the door. A man sat smoking some… interesting… smelling junk that was causing me a coughing fit. I continued walking into a room. It was warm and cozy and totally girly. It smelled of an odd mix of perfume and burning wood; it made me gag.
Sitting on the bed was a frilly diary that read, This book belongs to: Demure Sunnyflora Topaz Amberfeather Inglenook "Demmy." Inglenook… I had heard someone say that before. Hmmmm… Wait, hadn't Annabeth said something about Hestia tending the inglenook of the hearth?
I finally did something on my own accord, and I picked up the diary. My feet continued out a shabby screen door. It slammed behind me. I continued moving to a nicer part of town. Hot girls were everywhere. They all had designer clothes and perfect hair, expertly done mani-pedis and last but not least sparkling eyes. They were all laughing and walking into boutiques of all kinds. As I continued, I saw the coolest arenas ever. One looked like the Roman Coliseum and had a bunch of the cute girls sitting in the stands cheering for their friends that were competing. In another it looked like an open air court. It was surrounded by bleachers that some of the girls were getting ready for archery practice in. In another arena similar to the one at camp, some girls were practicing sparing and sword combat. In the last arena a bunch of courts for volleyball, tennis, basket ball, plus a pool (Yes!) were ready to be used for sporting events. I walked to the back were a girl was sitting by a bonfire tending it while smiling and talking with her friends. She had wavy red/brown hair that accented her eyes that reflected the fire. She had a few tiny freckles on her face that made her look innocent.
"Oh Demmy, you're so nice, kind, sweet, caring, amazing, lovable, and perfect in every way," said one of her friends.
"Oh, I'm not that great, after all, being in the MST isn't that big of an honor," Demmy replied, smiling bashfully.
One of the other girls whispered something in Demmy's ear. Demmy blushed feverishly red and covered her mouth and giggle a laugh that sounded like bells, "Oh, Kyra Seraphine Halish Glossy Casa says that there is somebody watching us."
"A very cute someone," Kyra Seraphine Hali…you know what, let's call her Kyra, giggled. At this all the girls giggled into their palms until the dream went fuzzy.
I woke up truly freaked out. Who were these personifications of perfection? They obviously were NOT from this world, but who could they be?
