"It's over Ben! Over do you hear!?" He quickly arose from his chair knocking it it with a thud on the concrete, he leans forward across the table face edged in pure anger. She cowers back for a moment the fading bruises against her skin begin to ache just by thought of maybe it's going to happen again. She didn't want to cause a scene or gain sympathy from strangers, in fact she often rolled eyes at others in this situation. With Ben she knew it had to be public if only for her own safety it had to be herein the middle of the afternoon at a popular eating establishment.
"Your not worth it you sodding cow! To hell with you Jackie!" With a final gesture of a certain finger he storms off nearly colliding with a man in a leather jacket out of place because of the extreme heat of the summer, next to him a young lady hair blond, eyes wide in what was best described as anger geared towards the stranger.
Jackie took a few shaking breaths in attempt to control herself, trying to embarrass herself further by having a break down. She looks around the cafe to the full tables of patrons staring intentially at their plates, pretending they heard nor saw nothing. Except for one man who just stares directly at her.
"What do you want?!" She's surprised at the shakiness of each syllable that passed through.
"I think your worth it."
"Pardon me?" The mysterious approaches closer smiling.
"Anyone is willing to face an arse such as him with such gull, well like I said your worth it." She blushes as the nervousness equipped for hours fades away.
"Thank you, um?"
"Oh Peter, actually Pete."
"Well thank you Pete."
