"Doctor help! Oh please doctor help me!" He growls as Peri's voice carries and echos off the endless walls of the Tardis. He had made himself perfectly clear, he gave so few rules, but still that girl loved to test his patience. He knew she wasn't in any true danger and perhaps a little fear would do her good. Turning to the console he flips a few switches and turns a couple knobs to activate the internal silencer. Peri's calls for help seemingly stop in a middle of a please. The doctor smiles proudly and returns to his book.

Bong. Bong. Bong. He is stirred from his nap the book on the floor and the emergency alert system going off.

"Ugh what now?!" Turning to the monitor which had snapped on to broadcast the source of the trouble he finds Peri laying, unmoving in what appeared to be a foot of water. He doesn't have time to think as he runs the three miles to her.

To his relieve he is able to find her pulse and dries her off in the room he had designated to be hers. He sits next to the bed he laid her on and watches her sleep. He rarely felt a guilt this strong before.

"Doctor?" Peri inquires warily,

"Ah I see someone is finally awake!" He tries his best to remain in control.

"What happened?"

"What happened? What happened?! What happened was a certain know it all Earthling decided to go exploring and opened a door that ended in the number three. Though she was told repeatedly all doors with threes were off limits."

"But that's just si.."

"Just silly huh? Says the girl who almost drowned when she let out a tidal wave!" Peri stares at him for a moment still trying to place together in her half asleep mind the details. It slowly comes back her face turns cold, eyes nearly black.

"I called for you. I was in trouble and I kept calling for you Doctor."

"I couldn't hear you."

"I don't believe you. I know you heard me. How could you Doctor?! I could've died!" Peri begins to cry. The Doctor at last reaches over and rubs her shoulder.

"I didn't mean to let it get so far out of hand, I was trying to teach you a lesson. If I had known you had opened that door ending with a three I would have come immediately. But to be fair you didn't scream 'help me Doctor I'm drowning in a freak indoor flood!'"

"Oh don't put the blame on me! I was really scared."

"I am sorry Peri."

"I think I want to be alone for a little bit." The Doctor wants to say more, find a way for his forgiveness to be granted. Instead he grants her wishes and steps out of the room gently closing the door behind him.
