Hi, this is my first poem by Merry and Pippin so I hope it's not too bad. Please read...
We must go too
Frodo was our dear friend
And when he wanted to leave
We said we'd see him through to the end
And not stay behind to grieve
We knew his journey was dark
And we had no choice but to go
His eyes had long lost their spark
And we were the first to know
Frodo was carrying a great weight
Bigger than most would dare
Yet his eyes and his heart felt no hate
It was our job to help him bare
So now our journey had begun
Frodo, Sam, Pippin and I
We know this road may be our last one
But it is not our place to ask 'Why?'
We know Frodo would have gone alone
To do what he had to do
If he could protect the world and his home
He would give up his life too
But while we are on this road
On us, Frodo can depend
We must help him carry this load
As we see him through to the end
And that was my very first poem from Merry and Pippin's point of view. Well actually it's by Merry but he is talking about how he and Pippin felt. I hope you enjoyed it and please review to tell me what you think.
