Just a little something I thought I might try. This is something I don't think has been done before, and if it has, I've never come across one like it. Anyhow, one-shot with little to no point other than to be something different. R&R, love it, hate it, think it's ok, tell me what you think.
I Remember
Journal entry #478:
I was always taught to be diligent in whatever I do. "Do it thoroughly, and do it right, or don't bother doing it at all," my father had always said. I suppose that's why I am the way I am. I looked up to him. He was my hero. People call me lots of things, diligent, a hard worker, psychotic, but I don't care what they say. I know that I'm filling his shoes, and it makes me glad that I do such a good job.
My work has taken me all over the world, or at least all over Hyrule. I've seen so much in my life, but one thing I saw, I'll never forget. Well, not really a thing, it was a person. His name was Link. He did a lot of traveling, too, and while at the time I just thought he wanted to see the world, I feel lucky that I had the privilege of meeting him.
He saved the world. Most people don't realize just what all he went through to bring us salvation, but I do. It seemed as though every far off place I went, he was there too. I know the land like the back of my hand, so I can only imagine what kind of hell he went through for us.
He may be gone now, left for bigger and better things, but I remain, ever diligent in my duty. I'll never forget that brave hero and what he did for us. I would love to sit and write all day about this, and I surely could, but I haven't got that kind of time. I have a job to do. Onward to mail!
