Hello everyone. Yes, I am aware that I have been neglecting my Eureka stories dreadfully, but I shall soon remedy that mistake! A little drabble for those Bleach-inclined.

I lie awake, listening to the sound of the almost silent rain. The moonlight is hidden, drawing the world into shadow. I huddle under my blankets as I peer at the rain through the window. My futon shifts slightly as I drag my body for a better position.

At this point I am lying almost halfway out of my window, the cool air chilling me slightly. I turn onto my back and stare up at the mocking dusk, trying to find the stars. For once, they are not visible; the sky starting to lighten, against my wishes. I stare regretfully at the sky, knowing my duties start with the complete sunlight rising. I will be tired, too, since I cannot sleep now. The rain begins to slack off as the sun begins to rear its head.

As the sun is fully uncovered, its first rays falling directly on my rain-soaked, exposed face. The rain glitters as it falls through the sunbeams in one last futile attempt to stay. My mind groggily awakes, as though in a fog, for the few minutes I was actually able to sleep.

My head swirls as my environment is unfamiliar. I sit up and find a pink cloak in my lap and I am surrounded by thousands of soft, moist sakura petals. I smile softly, knowing who the gift is from.

"Thank you…" I whisper to myself.
