I watched as Edward walked away. He didn't love me? How could that be, he'd spent almost a year talking to me, loving me, and now he just gives it up. Half of me wanted to follow him, and the other half was too empty to have an opinion. I felt a half empty, but I knew I would get over it. I just needed the time to remember it was real. I looked down at the ground, ready for the tears to fall. Maybe if I curled up into a ball and died here, no one would notice, or if I cried for a couple of days I would be all better. My main problem right now is the wondering why he did everything, why his family even did it if they didnt love me.
"They do care you know?" A familiar voice said. I turned around to see the owner of the voice drop down from the tree behind me, landing gracefully on her feet.
"What are you doing here?" I asked. Aria smiled. I tried to smile back but my head was still with my heart.
"I'm here to pick you up. Father was going to send someone else, but I figured since we're sisters, I should be the one to pick you up." Aria said. Realization hit me. It was two days after my 18th birthday.
"I have to pack and tell Charlie." I said, starting to make my way out of the forest. Aria followed. It was amusing to know we were twins. Though we were nothing alike, she was the person closest to me. Neither Edward or Alice had known me as well as Aria.
"I already told Charlie, and you're clothing is not needed back home." She stopped me right as we came out of the clearing. "Bella, you know this is going to make everything better right? Going home, fufillling what we were born to do, it will make everything right." I smiled at my sister.
Even though I was older, Aria had always seemed older. She was stronger, she was strong minded, and came off as a bitch to people who didn't fully know her. I was the small , meak, quiet girl, even if i could be stubborn.
"Alright," I said, walking towards the black GMC waiting outside Charlie's house. Aria followed, lifting up the hood to her purple coat. Openning the door, I heard the laughter of my two older brother figures.
"Hello Bella." They said at the same time. I smiled, scooting over so Aria could sit in the back seat next to me.
"Alright Boys, get us home." Aria said, laughing. I laughed with her. Something she had said back in the woods had struck a chord with me. She was right. By going home everything would be alright.
"One way trip to Volterra, coming up!" Felix said, slapping the dashboard. Demetri smiled.
"Aro will be pleased to have both his daughters home." I couldn't help but smile at what he said. I was going home.
