MY EYE YOUR LIGHT
When Naruto and Sakura found Sasuke he was slumped against the wall, Itachi crumpled at this feet; a length of steel rising from his back. Blood ran down the side of Sasuke's face from his left eye and down to his chin, it stained his chest and soaked his clothes. The sword was that ended Itachi's life gleamed red as his blood slid down the blade. His hand was red with Sasuke's blood, his quest for light had failed.
The room was quiet and Sasuke slept. The sleep of a victor, the sleep that had eluded him for so many years. Sleep that was first invaded with fear then anger and eventually determination but goal accomplished, he could finally sleep in peace. The loss of an eye to land a hit on the true Itachi was a small price for the peaceful sleep that he drifted in.
