Emma POV
Today's my birthday! I love my birthday. As always, it's the last day
of school.
When I got downstairs for breakfast, I saw that there was a huge pile
of french toast that said "Happy Birthday Emma!" on it in whipped
cream. My parents had already left for work and Darcy was doing some
college thing, but there were presents for me.
I left the house and got on the bus, everyone wishing me a happy
birthday.
At my locker, it was decorated with all kinds of ribbons and wrapping
paper, left by my friends. Inside my locker, there was a bunch of
presents from Jess, Megan, Cassidy, and Becca.
I hugged each of them except Jess, who was at her school, Colonial
Academy.
We had parties all day in school celebrating the end of the year.
When i got home, Jess was waiting for me with a present.
"You already got me a present!" I said. She and the others had gotten
me a bunch of writers tools.
"This is just from me." she said.
She gave me the present and I opened it. It was one of those heart
best friend necklaces that fit together.
"I love it" I said, hugging her.
She hugged me back and said "Let's go make some birthday cookies and
cake for book club tonight."
