His window was wide-open, he knew that.
Iruka was sitting behind his piano.
Fingers an inch above the keys.

Then he started playing.

A smooth melody. Accompanied by his voice.

Say good-night
Under the moon

Thinking about his friends who were on missions or probably already sleeping.

Hushaby
To all the human race

He began to play stronger now, louder. Completely forgetting that his window was open.

Closing his eyes.

Say good-night
Closing windowpanes
Lonely night
The time to go stargaze

Kakashi had just arrived back from a mission and traveled fast over the rooftops to get home and take a warm shower.
"The mission report can wait until tomorrow." He thought.

He heard a smooth melody coming from a bit further.

"Say good-night
Closing windowpanes"

He quietly landed on the rooftop.

"Lonely night
The time to go stargaze"

He didn't quite recognize the voice so he landed on the balcony and looked through the window.

It was love on first sight.

Without noticing the audience Iruka kept playing and singing.

I remember how you smile on my photograph
I've imagined we were high above satellites

Iruka began to smile, while memories of his friends kept playing in his head.

Latch onto the moment
In my eyes until the summer goes
Touch me for a moment
There's no time until my eyes are closed
Who can rewind?

Suddenly he noticed he was being watched and stopped playing.
"Hatake-san! What are you doing here?" A red blush was showing on Iruka's face.
Knowing that Kakashi probably heard most of the song he had sang and played.

"Please just call me Kakashi, and Iruka that was beautiful." Giving Iruka a sincere look. Walking towards the teacher

Iruka hoped it was possible to die because of blushing, cause right now he would do anything to just disappear.

"I can't rewrite your road, but I can do something about those lonely nights..." Kakashi said. Slowly lowering his mask.

"Kakashi what do you mean? What are you doing?" Covering his eyes. Iruka thought the Copy Ninja went crazy.

"Changing your road..." A whisper came.

Iruka froze.
