Rayearth was the first manga I read, and it still holds a special place in my heart. I hope that this fanfic will show my appreciation of CLAMP and all they do… look at the monkey! (Sorry that was way too serious)
Generation 2-Chapter 1-Hinoki
"AAAAAAH!" screamed a young girl with long, dark plaited pigtails as she ran down her street. "I can't believe how late I am! I am so DEAD!" The teenager began rationalizing that surely her best friends, Negumi and Kaoru, would forgive her. It was only the fifteenth time she was late for a gathering. "Awww, who am I kidding! Negumi-chan's gonna skin me alive!" She screamed again when she reached the Harajuka-Tokyo Station; her train was about to leave. "NOOOOOOOOOO!" She dived in just in time. She lied there, relieved, for a few seconds, before feeling the stares of everyone on the train. She jumped up, giggling and blushing furiously, and found a seat.
Well, at least I made the train on time.
"Hey there, Hinoki-chi!"
"Wha-?" she whirled around to face the speaker. "Oh! Naoto-sama! How are you today?" Hinoki started blushing even more when she looked at Naoto. He was tall, had deep black eyes, gorgeous spiked hair, and Hinoki had the secret crush of the century on him. They shared a moment looking into each other's eyes before-
"That was some entrance you made, No-chi. Late again, right?" he chuckled.
"O-oh, you saw that did ya?" Her blush deepened. "Y-yeah, I'm meeting Negumi-chan and Kaoru-chan at Tokyo tower for some sight-seeing."
"Negumi, huh? Tell her I said hey. This is my stop." He turned to leave.
"'Kay…" Hinoki really wanted to tell Naoto her true feelings, and her mother agreed and backed her up. "I've always been taught," her mother told her, "to follow my heart, and I've tried to teach you that too." Hinoki then asked her how she and her dad met up. Her mom smiled that sweet smile of hers and said, "Well, I was helping some friends out when I met him. Your father is-was a great man, who would stke his life for what he believed in, and those he cared about. I've always wanted to see you take after him in that." Hinoki smiled at the memory. Well, nows as good a time as any to try…
"Hey, Naoto-sama!" she called out. He turned and looked at her. "Um, ah,…..GOOD LUCK WITH THE TEST ON MONDAY!" She lost it.
"Oh, right! Thanks." And he was gone.
Hinoki sank back in her seat. Gah! What is wrong with me? Like someone as cool as Naoto-sama would even think about a little tomboy like me. It was true, she was a tomboy, atheletic, competive, into science and martial arts. But when your uncles are all kung fu nuts, and are constantly teaching you things to defend your self from those "hoodlums at school", you don't really have a choice. Besides, she thought bitterly, I'll bet Negumi is more his type…GRRR! I hate my ugly, ruler-shaped body! She began beating the air, bringing about new stares from the other passengers.
Well, do you like it? Do you love? Do you wish to put me on a stake and burn me till only ashes remain? Whatever, just review.
