The Avengers and the Women who love them...
A/N: This is an AU story mainly on the relationships of each of the Avengers and the women they are with. It is not meant to have a lot of action. I also do not own anything...
Jane made her way into one of the larger training rooms within Stark Tower. After the incident in New York City, Tony Stark opened his home and laboratories to the Avengers. Each of them practically had their own floor.
She found Thor battling a holographic image in what resembled a small wrestling arena. He won of course with a swift blow from his hammer. Thor turned around after his 'battle' to find Jane leaning against a doorframe, watching him.
"Jane, what are you doing down here?"
"There are too many scientists in the lab, I needed a little space" Jane answered, "Plus, I wanted to see you." She added.
Thor smiled and walked towards Jane, "I always want to see you Jane." He picked her up effortlessly and pulled her in for a kiss.
He put her down and the two of them walked slowly down the hallway towards the elevator. "Do you like being here Thor?"
"On earth or in Stark tower?" He countered.
"Both I guess." She bit her lip.
"Jane, I am happiest wherever you are."
"Asgard is just so beautiful."
"Are you saying that you would live with me in Asgard?" Thor asked hopefully.
Jane shrugged, "I wouldn't mind splitting up our time between here and there."
Thor smiled. "We can go as soon as you want. We could be in Asgard tonight."
"It would be nice to get out of tower for a while. And if the Avengers are needed you could be there in no time."
Jane pressed the elevator button and the doors opened to reveal Agent Maria Hill. "Thor, I need you to come with me on an assignment, bring that hammer of yours."
Jane made a face at the agent. Of all the people Jane had met, she had never met anyone as cold as Agent Maria Hill. Even the assassin Natasha Romanov was nicer. She didn't know what Captain America saw in her.
Thor, eager to swing his hammer at anything, spoke, "what is this mission we are going on?"
"It's a retrieval mission. Dr. Elizabeth Ross has been taken and we have to bring her back to SHEILD."
"Why does that name sound so familiar?" Jane asked. She knew she had heard it somewhere.
"Dr. Ross is General Ross' daughter. She was also dating Dr. Banner before he... changed." Maria said for lack of a better word.
"So Banner is coming with us?" Thor asked.
"He does not know. The Captain, Natasha, Clint, you and myself are all going. Fury didn't think it was a good idea to take the Hulk."
"He's going to freak when he finds out." Jane said.
"He's not going to find out until we bring Dr. Ross back safely." Maria said to Jane, and turned to Thor, "we are leaving in twenty minutes." Thor and Jane let her get into the elevator alone and they watched as the doors closed.
"Would it kill that girl to smile?" Jane muttered.
"She is a soldier Jane."
"She's also a human being." Jane sighed, "so much for going to Asgard tonight."
"As soon as I return. Pack your things Jane; we will travel to Asgard when I come back."
The elevator opened again and they got in. Jane pressed the button for their floor. She kissed Thor. "Be careful."
He kissed her again and again until the elevator doors opened to their own private 'apartment'. "I will be careful. I promise."
"Yea, the last thing we need is for The Hulk to unleash himself on you because you weren't careful." Jane said.
"Until next time Jane." Thor said, smiling and flipping his hammer through the air before catching it.
