The story of the necklace
Eliza was bored and angry as usual. She got told to do her chores as it was the fifth time in a week she hadn't done them. However she had gone nuts and stomped of into her room. Her mum was really worried about her. Ever since she had that necklace she had been getting really angry at people. She was thinking of taking the necklace off Eliza…
Eliza was walking home alone. She didn't have many friends and she preferred it that way. She was walking into the richer part of the neighbourhood now. She was close to home and she could see her house sticking out from the rest. It was the biggest and the tallest house in the whole city! She was walking past the derelict, abandoned park when she noticed a shiny, silver object in the grass. Of course she didn't want to go in the park no one did. It was apparently haunted! But it was too eye-catching she had to go and see what it was. She quickly but quietly tiptoed over to the object. She grabbed the jewellery and dashed out of the park as fast as lightning.
She looked at it now, lying on her bed. She was always wearing it and thought of it as the best object she could have found of the floor. She hadn't cleaned it though, she had put it on straight away and now there was a mark where the main piece of the necklace laid. She hadn't noticed but ever since she had got that thing she had become more anti-social, ignorant and hurtful.
A week passed and since then Eliza had been getting worse and worse. Her mum had tried forcing her to take off the necklace.
"I've had enough of your behaviour Eliza give me that silly necklace!"
"No, you have no right taking my possessions, and don't even think of touching me! Because I will report you for abuse"
"Eliza, give that necklace to me now!"
"Only if you catch me!"
Eliza ran and locked herself in the bathroom. She started crying, in fear that her mum would take her beloved necklace. About 25 minutes later she went to the sink to sort out her face. She looked up at the mirror only to find her reflection, but it wasn't her. It was another girl that was identical to her that was laughing. She was wearing the same necklace but this time it was glowing a blood red and something was dripping from it. A thick gooey, slimy green liquid. She touched her chest to make sure that it was only on the other side of the mirror. She knew she was hallucinating. She hadn't drunken in at least 4 days! As soon as she got out of the door she would drink.
Another hour went by. Eliza couldn't stop staring at her reflection. Finally she decided she would take a photo of what she was seeing. She was trying to make sure that this was a hallucination and that on the other side of the mirror was herself. She grabbed her phone from her back pocket and turned on the camera. She automatically knew how to do it after taking so many selfies. She flashed the screen and took the photo. She then ran to the door, unlocked it and went down to the kitchen. She had at least 2 litres of water and then relaxed for a little while. She seemed to forget about the photo until the next day…
She was just about to have lunch when she remembered. She looked at the photo in astonishment. She was expecting her normal self but instead the photo showed a girl laughing and holding a necklace with a blood red glow and green, slimy liquid coming from it. She can't have been hallucinating! Her mum was right. She wanted to take it off right then but she felt as if she couldn't. Even if she tried to grab on to the necklace, it wouldn't come off. It was like it was glued to her chest. It was like… No. It can no object can physically do that! But at the same time she thought it must.
It owned her…
