"I'm not losing her again!" Snow yelled, charging towards the vortex emanating form the hat on the floor. The world suddenly was in slow motion. But she tried to jump over the railing, and her boot got caught on the cracking wood. She fell, hitting her head on the tiles. She wouldn't be able to go after her daughter, and her husband needed her.
Ruby burst from the shadows. "I'm not, either!" Ruby shouted to Snow, launching herself into the portal. "I'm coming, Emma!" She cried as she fell into the blackness which sealed itself behind her.
