A Kind Of Crossover 'Fanfiction' Of Lost in Austen, Inkheart and Narnia Called So books really are real
Whenever I read a book, I think not of it as only a story. I think of it as experiences, smells, memories – as though I can taste the story itself. Some people say I devour books. The characters become my friends, or enemies, or lovers. I simply find it easy to create strong bonds with them. Some of my best friends can not entirely be compared to some of the people I have met in good books.
So yeah, for me at least, books are real. I mean, come on. Those stories they tell? Are we really supposed to believe that some witty person just made it all up? That is, in all honesty, impossible. Great imagination, one can have, but such imagination? Thinking directly into so different people's minds, their thoughts and hopes, loves and fears. Some things a human mind can simply not just imagine.
And how we perceive it! We certainly do meet those characters, we love them, cry with them, laugh with them, or dance of happiness when they get ill because they brought such misfortune over others. When a book is read, the reader creates memories of the places that book talk about, see it as clearly as ever, touching it.
I have wondered through dark forests, heated deserts, rainy streets and foggy gardens. I have swum through deep oceans and I have mastered the art of flying. I have gone to different times and universes, met extraordinary creatures and learned more languages and cultures than I can count. All thanks to reading books.
Is all of this only in my head? Surely, it can't be. Somewhere I really am hiking up that mountain, at the same time I'm having the loveliest conversation with a fair salesman. Maybe it takes place in my head, but I honestly do not think so.

"Amanda! Would you come down for a minute?" Sighing, she obliged, while still dreaming about the handsome Mr Darcy.

"Meggie! What have I told you about reading out load? We can not have more animals running around this house, and you know of the danger..!"

"Hello..? Lucy, Edmund, are you there? Would you please go wake your sister and brother, I think I might have found something rather interesting…"
"Yes, professor."

I think it takes place in my heart.
