A/N: Hello there. This idea may turn out to be horrible, but I just had to write it. Basically following Jack and Rose through their lives every year on the same day. Basically the same idea as the movie One Day, but a completely different plot. Please review whether you like it, hate it, or are indifferent. Chapters will vary... a lot. From pages to like one or two sentences. At least I think so, I don't have a very specific plan.

Disclaimer: I have no rights or ownership claims to the movie Titanic. I am not making a profit off whatever it is I'm posting right now, it's for entertainment only. If you are James Cameron's lawyer and have a problem with me writing this you can tell me in a review. Also the idea comes from the movie One Day, which I also do not own and have no rights to, but since none of the characters will make an appearance, and the plot will be totally different I don't think that really matters.

If you read through all that, thank you. If you didn't, you're normal.

April 18, 1912

Jack and Rose Dawson stepped off the Carpathia tentatively, clutching each others hands desperately. Just that morning, as they passed the Statue of Liberty Rose had given his last name as hers, promising they'd be together forever.

But now, they were on solid land again. Rose felt slightly overwhelmed as she realized they could go anywhere, do anything. For the first time in her life she was completely free, but she had no idea what to do. She looked up at Jack.

"What do you want to do first?" he asked, the excitement in his voice and eyes increasing as he spoke. Jack watched Rose's eyes take in everything around her as she considered his question.

"We should make it official," he wanted her to say. "Let's go get married before we do anything else."

"Let's get something to eat," she said instead. "I'm starving."

Jack agreed. He knew he could never deny her anything he could get her, and as her coat was full of money there wasn't much they couldn't get.

It wasn't until they were seated across from each other in a small restaurant that he dared bring up what he wanted to do.

To his dismay, she shook her head. "I don't know Jack," she said, watching his face carefully. If he really wanted to get married right away, she wasn't sure she could refuse. "Isn't it enough that we promise we'll always be together?" He didn't respond so she continued. "I love you, and I will forever, but I'm only 17. And I just got out of an engagement. I don't think I'm ready for that."

Jack squeezed her hand even tighter. "I just want to know that no one will ever be able take you away from me again."

Rose broke into her first real smile since the Titanic had sunk. "No one will. I will never let that happen."

Seeing he was still uncomfortable with the idea, she said,"I want it to mean something more than that we're legally bound to each other. And because we've already promised we'll never let go, I don't think it's necessary."

Jack nodded and smiled back at her. He understood. But he wasn't finished. "Suppose getting married means we're ready to start a family. When we're ready to have children, we'll get married."

Rose was surprised, but the idea was perfect. So she agreed.

The got on a train that very night, with a brand-new rucksack, with clothes not still damp and stiff with salt and ice, and with Rose wearing a small, simple, ring on her finger as a promise that they would one day start a family.

A/N: Okay, that's not exactly how I planned it, but whatever. Please tell me what you think! I'll definitely put up another chapter, but after that I'm not sure. It depends on the kind of feedback I get, or if I get any at all.
