A/N: Since withdrawal symptom is a hard thing to deal with and the Healer fandom having a little amount of fanfiction to soothe bruised soul after the final episode, the plot bunnies attacked. Sorry, if the writting is choppy and not as smooth as tarmac and pleace be reminded that this is the result of a midnight-nothing-else-to-do-to-help-with-Healer-withdrawal-symptoms situation. Be kind guys.
Disclaimer: Healer belongs to KBS, not me. You really think I would let it end easily if Healer is mine? You thought wrong buddy.
Sleep
After their 'first night' together, it has always become a custom for Jeong Hoo to watch Yeong Shin sleep. Yes, he knows it sounds very stalker-ish, but he couldn't help himself. Seo Jeong Hoo never dreamt much and even after months into their relationship, everything still feels surreal for the Healer, so everytime Yeong Shin would sneak out and stay over at his place or he visits her in her room Healer style, Jeong Hoo would be the last to fall asleep to watch her sleep and the first to wake to watch her wake. Jeong Hoo finds peace in Yeong Shin's relaxed face as she snuggles into him for warmth and comfort, he finds the weight of her head on his shoulder therapeutic and relishes every single moment he has his fingers in her soft hair. He wakes the earliest to watch as she slowly reacts to the light shining into the room, basking her sweet face with warmth of the day. He loves how she would always snuggle deeper into his arms as if to avoid having to wake up and facing the world, he adores the moment Yeong Shin's eyelids would flutter open slowly, bit by bit, until those beautiful eyes are open and stares straight into his and rewards him with the brightest smile a man could receive. The morning kiss he gets is another thing he would never give up for anything else. Yeong Shin knows of his habit, because every night they spend together all she has in her eyes are mischevious understanding - if that is a thing at all - and the loudest proclamation of love through the way she looks at him. And for the love of life, Yeong Shin would never trade Jeong Hoo with anything or anyone.
The Job
After Park Bong Soo has been pronounced dead, Seo Jeong Hoo filled in the spot at Someday News seamlessly and no one ever questioned him. There was no need, as everyone is just pleased that they have their hoobae back, safe and sound, even if it's under a different name. The change of personality suprised them, but that never stops them from treating him like the old Park Bong Soo they know. The Someday News team are also accustomed to him disapearing and returning after a few days with not a word of explanation, the Healer has other responsibilities they best not know anyways. Chief Jang, and even Kim Moon Ho, is a bit surprised that he still continues to work as Healer - he says it's not as if ahjumma could assign a Healer-in-training on proper jobs, and that he's not used to 'normal life' paychecks, which results to having Chief Jang chasing him with rolled up papers - but they are mostly surprised that Yeong Shin doesn't mind him keeping his 'side' job after all. And after asking, they could only shake their head in exasperation when she adds in with a grin, "After all, it's fun that I could sometimes help with Healer's job."
The Next Generation
It's not a surprise. It really shouldn't be one. Seo Bong Soo looks exactly like his father, has close to impossible character similarity with his father, impeccably amazing acrobatic abilities like his father, has a brain that makes any parent proud. It really shouldn't be such a surprise that he would take over as Healer after Dae Young Noona retires. His Mom looks so proud at the moment she looks about to explode, but he knows there's a growing fear and worry somewhere inside and she's trying to conceal it, so he always gives mom his best hugs. Dad just gives him a smug/proud smile and says, "Don't mess up my name, kid." earning him an attempted punch - how is Dad still so damn good after all those years? His younger sister, Seo Ji Ahn, proudly proclaims he would be the best Healer after dad and she would be the best support he will ever have. Dad is still a bit sore that Ahjumma actually taught his daughter how to hack, but her talent in it is clearly unmistakeable. Mom is only sore that no one in the family seems interested in continuing her line of job, but Ji Ahn says she might do it as a part time job, earning a lecture from mom on how being a repoter is a full time thing. Really, nothing seems to be such a surprising thing that he would take over as Healer, Granma and Moon Ho samchun is perfectly fine. What he doesn't understand is why Granpa would fuss so much that one of Granpa's 'underling' caught wind of it and ends up offering their grandson as a body guard, really, that old man...He's Healer, South Korea's best night errand boy. He can watch his own back.
Healer Hyung-nim
The night when Jeong Hoo had to rush to Yeong Shin's side after being threatened by Secretary Oh at Moon Ho's apartment, we see Dae Young and a bunch of other Healer's 'messenger' lining up at the front door and bows when the legendary Healer rushes past them. Truly, Healer is like the boss of their small but powerful gang and the one they proudly call Hyung-nim and whose order they would follow absolutely. They thought themselves to be half invisible to the great Healer, aside from Dae Young of course, the leader of their 'messenger' team, hence why they were so surprised when they were sent invitations to Healer Hyung-nim's wedding. Like, all of them. To the wedding of the legendary Healer and rising reporter Chae Yeong Shin. They all accepted the invitation with grace, some even shed tears, but the confusion stays. So, one of them contacted Ahjumma and were even more confused when the answer given is a short video. A video of Chae Young Shin herself, thanking them for all the support they had given Healer and apologizes for every bothersome thing their "hyung-nim" made them do, she asked them to continue support Healer and to have to come to the wedding so, "I could thank you in person." she said. The reporter doesn't interact with them much, but there are several instances where she would request their help with her article investigation or about Hyung-nim, but those instances are rare. But with this and without further a do, Chae Young Shin became the Noona of them all and all her requests became as absolute has Hyung-nim's are. It would also be a given, that when Hyung-nim is busy with Healer work, one or two of them would watch over Noona until Hyung-nim returns. Ahjumma, or the Boss as they call her, grumbles that they are just like puppies fawning over their master.
Those Big Hands
Chae Yeong Shin loves Seo Jeong Hoo's hands, thats is a fact that will never change. She loves how those hands warm her smaller pair as they hold hands. She loves how they gently caress her face when they kiss, how warm and reassuring they are on her head. She loves the feel of those arm and hand across her shoulder and on her chest when she sleeps and wakes. She loves the way those hands settle on her abdomen as they spoon. She loves how strong those arm and hand would encompass her in a hug from the back or the front, at the sofa or in the kitchen, morning or night. She loves how strong and stable they are as he holds her when she shivers in pleasure in his arms. She loves him and that's just it.
Chae Yeong Shin loves Seo Jung Hoo and that is a fact that will never change till the end of time.
Hair
Seo Jeong Hoo loves playing with Chae Yeong Shin's hair as much as he likes sticking to her like a glue and annoying her as she cooks in his kitchen. He loves running his fingers through her hair, and loves how comforting it feels whether to him or her. He loves how those strands of hair would slowly escape his fingers, flowing like water. He loves how just taking a deep breath in those soft locks would calm every tumultous feelings he had. He loves how she could calm and comfort him just by being there.
Seo Jeong Hoo loves Chae Yeong Shin and that is a fact that will never change until the end of time.
P.S: Will not guarentee any quick new post on Healer fanfic, but prompt or requests are welcome to help the plot bunnies. Cheers lovelies, hope you enjoyed it.
