This is a no negativity zone, if you don't like the pairing don't waste your time and read this fic. If you are rude or disrespectful to me your review will be erased, and/or reported where I can. I am all for constructive criticism that's one of the main ways I have learned and grown as an author. I write fic for fun. I write what speaks to me and I write as an escape from life's usual stresses so be kind.
I really like this couple a lot, and I want to show a little bit of their lives as I see it progressing. This will be about twenty parts, and I will as per usual update daily, barring ff acting up again. The title comes from a song by Serena Ryder. On with the fic!
Anthony DiNozzo Junior was at the desk of the airline which his father was supposed to flying. He was getting frustrated. He knew this was the flight his father was supposed to be on. After the last time he was sure his father wasn't going to change flights without telling him. After he had watched everyone come out of the arrivals area and didn't see him he thought he should confirm he'd been on the flight. He actually wanted to see his father so that he could meet his new girlfriend.
"It's spelled the same but with a Senior instead of Junior," DiNozzo explained showing his NCIS creds to the attendant.
"I'm really sorry, Sir, there's no passenger by that name on this fight," the woman explained.
"I have all the information about his ticket," he sighed.
"I'm sorry Sir, but I'm not seeing his name."
"Could you check other flights, it's Anthony DiNozzo Senior?"
"I remember the name Sir, like yours, with a Senior instead of Junior, but I'm not supposed to give out information. I understand that you're his son.
A flight attendant had stopped in front of them as he walked by. "I'm sorry sir, did you say DiNozzo?" she asked.
"Yes."
"He's a quite the charmer."
"That would be my dad."
"We're not really supposed to give out passenger information, but I heard him mention you. He came in on my flight we landed well over an hour ago."
"Thank you so much," he said. "I'm sorry for taking up so much of your time," he told the woman at the counter.
"I understand Sir," she assured him with a smile before he turned to leave.
He left the airport and got into his car, with a long sigh. He was glad that his father had arrived safely but was frustrated. He wasn't surprised that his father would change his plans without warning him. Normally he wouldn't have minded his father deciding to show up early. He called the Adams House to be sure his father hadn't checked in then called his boss.
"Gibbs?" Leroy Jethro Gibbs muttered into the phone when he answered it.
"Boss, have you seen my father?" DiNozzo asked.
"I thought his flight just landed."
"He took an earlier flight"
"He isn't here," Gibbs assured him.
"Great, now I have to track down Senior before he starts to terrorise the city."
"Did he go to the hotel?"
"I called there first, I hope he didn't go straight to my apartment. Zoe's there."
"That's the first place I'd look."
"Shit. Gotta go, Boss."
DiNozzo hoped her would be get there in time. Originally they had planned to go to pick Senior up together, but when he woke up she had looked so peaceful he decided to let her sleep in, since she didn't often have the chance to. He'd left her note explaining he would be back with his father. He tried her phone, to warn her but didn't get an answer. He wasn't sure how long his father had taken at the airport and how much of a head start he'd gotten on him.
Notes: That was part one, the next part is the idea that started it all, Keates meeting Senior. I'm not going to give up writing what my muse gives me due to a few people, but please be kind and let me know what you think.
