That's What I Get.
Ash/May & Ash/Dawn

She lay down on her floor, tapping her foot to the constant beats of her favorite song. Her brunette hair sprawled out on the hard wood. Her iPod perfectly placed in her hand, and her pink earphones placed perfectly in her ears like in the commercials.

May Maple was having an emotional breakdown.

Her iPod just repeated the same song, over, and over, and over again. It was like a pattern. She sang a few bars of the song quietly, as to make sure no one heard her. A tear slipped down her cheek when her favorite part came up.

It reminded her of him.

It reminded her of the sweet days of summer, the days filled with bare feet, jumping through sprinklers, and kisses. She expected everything to be the same until she ran into school, trying to find him- that was until she found him with her.

May had been all excited, seeing him since he went on his annual camping trip with his family, ask what he had done, and tell him how much she had missed him. That was till he broke it all with the simple girl that he held around the waist with his right arm.

That was supposed to be her.

But, for some strange reason, it wasn't. Why? Why not her? Why get pick this piece of, of, trash? All, these questions he wanted to ask him, but she was too scared, petrified was more like it. So, she picked up her schedule and went onto all her classes, as any other completely normal school day.

After the day was over, she ran home. Ran until her lungs were on fire and her legs hurt like they were about to fall off. She didn't bother answering her mother when she had asked, "What's wrong, baby?" May just ran into her room, grabbed her iPod, collapsed into one huge heap on the floor, and stared at the ceiling.

She didn't bother to answer the many texts and cell phone calls she kept receiving from her friend Dawn. But, why would she answer her, when she was the problem.

She stole Ash from her and she can't be forgiven.

So, May Maple just sits, there listening to this song over, and over, and over again because it reminds her of Ash.
