Disclaimer: Don't own Sherlock.

A/N: This is something I wrote about a year ago and just remembered I had and added a bit to it. Enjoy!

Not So Different

John Watson opened his eyes and looked around. Kitchen, check. Wait, kitchen? ' Why the kitchen in my bedroom?' He thought.

He got up and promptly fell over. His limbs felt...disproportionate. John was the living room, but could not remember how he got there.

"Sherlock!" he yelled.

"Yes John?" Sherlock replied, coming into the sitting room.

John couldn't believe his eyes! That wasn't Sherlock. That was him. His body, the body of John H Watson, coming into the sitting room! He looked down at his body and saw that he was Sherlock, complete with blue dressing gown.

"What have you done this time?" he asked angrily.

"It's just a simple experiment." Sherlock replied, "I wanted to see how we would function if we switched bodies."

"And you didn't ask me?" John yelled, "I have a date with Sarah tonight!"

"Go on your date," Sherlock replied and then muttered something that sounded suspiciously like "waste of time"

John chose to ignore that comment and focus on the bigger issue at hand.

"I can't go looking like you!"

"Why not?"

"Remember what happened last time you were near her? You nearly got the three of us killed!" John yelled, "she'd probably disembowel me! Switch us back now!"

"The experiment has to last a week." Sherlock explained.

"I don't care about your bloody experiment! Change us back!"

"That's the problem." Sherlock said, "I haven't figured out how yet."

What John said at this point was certainly unbecoming of an army officer, even an ex-army officer.

"Furthermore Sherlock, this is completely irresponsible and...and..." John trailed off with a confused expression, "Sherlock, are you wearing any underwear?"

"Underwear is dull."

John gave him a funny look and then tried to continue his tirade, but all that came out was a choked giggle. The giggle turned into a full blown laugh, a laugh like you'd hear from someone who'd lost their mind.

"What am I ever going to do with you?" John asked, after he'd calmed a bit.

A/N: Should I continue with this or leave it as a one-shot?
