Why?
There she sat, in the middle of the vast, swarming garden. She spent her time by the steaming hot pond feeding the turtle ducks that thrived there. She was simply trying to clear her crowded mind from the thousands of teeming thoughts crowding up her head. A stray lock of deep azure hair dangled in front of her face obstructing her vision. With a small flick it settled behind her ear.
Why the hell did her life have to be so complicated?
She stood up at a snail's pace, long straight tresses swaying in the wind. Her hand automatically came down, fixing the undetectable creases in her silk kimono. Her feet walked her towards the small bridge which was near where she was just sitting. She admired the small bonsai trees to her sides wishing that she could live just like them.
No worries.
'Mother. Father. I shall be with you soon. We'll be a family again…, just like old times.' Her voice was frozen, agonized, twinkling like chimes. A small searing droplet trailed down her face, falling with a splash to the ground.
She knew what would happen. But she didn't stop it.
A man slid the door open, harsh look on his face.
'You lied. Lies and slander. You shall pay for you ignorance and stupidity…' She knew exactly what he was talking about. It was all true, 'with your life.' The last part was barley audible, a faint murmur. He drew his katana the blade glistening in the harsh sunlight. He charged at her. She wasn't going to go this way. She was determined. She ran over to the larger bridge and stood on the railing. She could their faces smiling at her and beckoning her to come to them. Their child.
'Mother, Father, I'm coming.'
Oh what a tragic way to go.
She jumped in the cold torrent of water, back arched, hands out. She looked like and angel, and was soon going to be. With an immense splash and a stream of bubbles she was gone…
At least she'll finally be happy.
