My second one-shot for Zevie month is here! I hope you guys enjoy!
He always todk her she as the best thing that ever happened to him.
She believed him.
He always told her that he wouldn't trade her for the world.
She believed him.
Big mistake.
STEVIE'S POV
He was my best friend.
Nothing more and nothing less.
Until the day he gave me up and everything else for one stupid spotlit moment.
He broke my heart.
My tears shattered when they hit the floor.
But he didn't care. He was off living his dream.
I didn't know how to live without him.
I stopped going to school. I stopped talking to my true friends just so I could try to forget.
When that didn't work, I gave up on everything else.
Just like him.
Just like he gave up on me.
ZANDER'S POV
I promised her that I would never give her up for anything.
In the heat of the moment I crushed that promise.
I flew to LA for a dead end gig.
I tried to get another for two years.
Two years later I was back home.
When I found out what she had done to herself becouse of me, I ran to her.
She opened the door to me only to slam it back into my face.
I hurt her so much. And for that, I'm sorry.
I decided to climb through her window.
When she saw me, she tried to run.
Key word- tried.
I grabbed her and held her while she cried and tried to break free.
She screamed at me about what I've been screaming at myself for months.
You promised.
I know I did.
I honestly didn't think she was going to take it this hard. We always understood each other.
NO POV
That's where love comes in.
She was so deep that it blinded her.
When he said sorry she just shook her head and lokked away wiping the tears form her eyes.
She told him how much he had hurt her.
After all that, she was exhausted.
She fell asleep still being pinned to him.
He laid her on the bed and admired how beautiful she looked lying there sleeping.
It night be a mistake, but he laid next to her on the bed with his arm around her waist an dslpet
For the first time in months.
It wasn't a mistake.
When she woke up next to him, she felt like it was natural.
Probably since they never really did know the true meaning of personal space.
So she snuggled closer with her head on his chest, following the rise and fall of his chest.
She still loved him, but it made her mad that he thought she would just sit around and wait for him.
He felt her get closer, and he knew she was awake.
He brought his hand up to her head and stroked her hair.
She told him to never break another promise.
He promised.
So he hurt her.
Maybe it was stupid to let him in again so easily.
But she did it and she wouldn't take it back for anything.
He thought leaving was a good adventure.
He was wrong once again.
The best adventure was being Zander-and-Stevie, the couple.
Not just Zander and Stevie, best friends.
Thanks for reading! I hope you liked it! My next update will be this weekend for That Day at the Beach.
