Shield had been taken over so Coulson and his team had nowhere to go, until Could had brought up that he knew a place to stay. So, everyone got back into the car with Coulson at the wheel, and when Melinda had asked where they were going he said "safe house."
The drive to the safe house was done in silence because most of his team had fallen asleep. Though once they were close to the place Coulson was taking them he had announced that they were almost there, so every that was asleep had woken up. They had saw Coulson pull into a drive way and at the end of it was a white house with a green roof and a little bit to the side of it was an old looking barn. As they got even closer to the house they saw that there was someone sleeping on the porch that man wasn't alone because it looked like there was a baby sleeping on his stomach and on the ground next to him was a dog who had woken up and started to bark as the car came to a stop.
The team had gotten out of the car and the man was yelling the dog's name, which was Lucky. When the dog didn't stop barking the man carefully got up because of the baby in his arms. The team had finally recognized that man was none other than Clint Barton.
Fitz leaned into Simmons and whispered 'no way it's Agent Barton.'
Clint was now walking off the porch to where they were at and said "I'll be damned it's Phil" and with a grin on his face he continues with "The Cavalry, what are you doing here?"
Melinda was about to say something but stopped when the baby started to whimper. Melinda watched Barton lift the child up and heard him say in a calm voice "uh ho, someone made a mess." He looks at them with an apological look and telling them that he'll continue their conversation later after he had changed Nathan's dipper and lay him down in his crib, but they were able to go inside as well. So, Phil and his team had fallowed him inside of the house with Lucky behind them.
As Clint was changing Nathan's dipper Skye, Fitz, and Simmons had sat down on the couch. May and Phil sat on the chairs. Once Clint had finished he placed Nathan into a baby walker and sat down on the floor and talked about why they were there. So, Phil had told him, Clint looked at them and closed his eyes as he says "alright you may stay, just let me call Laura and give her a heads up. Oh, and also Natasha, Bruce, and Wanda are here so both of the guest rooms are taken." Clint got up from the floor pulling out his cell phone, leaves the room leaving Phil and his team alone with Nathan and Lucky, who is lying next to Nathan watching the team. May gets up from the chair and says "ok what the deal since when does Barton have a wife and kids? Also, why wasn't any of this mentioned in his Shield files?"
Phil sighed and says "he was married before joining Shield, and when he joined he asked Nick not to include that onto his paper works because he didn't want them to get hurt if anything went wrong on a mission. Plus, who he told was up to him and who he trusted with is secret so that included Nick, Maria, Natasha, myself, and I'm guessing The Avengers now know about it as well." May was still standing when she looked down at Nathan who was chewing on a teething ring and then suddenly stops to look up at May then suddenly throws the ring at May's face. There was a small chuckle from Fitz as well as Clint who had come back from the phone call he went over to pick up the teething ring and give it back to Nathan telling him that doing that was bad and not to do it again. Though he only got a laugh from him in response. May looked down at him and gave a soft smile.
