I'm sorry love

I thought I could save you

I couldn't bring you back

From the darkness within yourself

I wish I could join that darkness

Just to be close to you

I can't bear the thought

Of seeing you in that bed

Withering away

But still resembling the hero you are

What do you see behind your closed eyes

When your body shudders with pain

I can only imagine your torment

Though I can feel your suffering

It won't be long before the darkness consumes you

And you'll die because you resist it

I can't stand to watch this

But I wouldn't think of leaving you

It's too late now

We've come too far together

But what will I do when you're gone

No hero to turn to in times of trouble

I'll be lost without you

But I have to let you go

I pray the goddesses give you peace

The peace you could never find in life, hero

Perhaps we'll meet again one day

I can only hope

And now I see the end coming

Tears falling and heart pounding

Zelda, I'm sorry you whisper to me

My heart breaks

The fault lies with me and the guilt is unbearable

And now you're taking your last breath
