Citizens of Heaven

All those who have seen the Lord God's face,

Have stood awe-struck in His wake,

And as they slipped beneath the waves,

The Lord reached out His hand, and said, "You're saved."

For thanks to the Lord for granting His liberty,

To us, from evil to save humanity,

To put His upon our face,

And free give such mercy and grace.

It's just impossible to comprehend,

Christ's wonderful love that is without end,

Every page from His wonderful Word,

God-breathed so His voice can be heard.

All those who have seen the Lord God's face,

Have stood awe-struck in His wake,

And as they slipped beneath the waves,

The Lord reached out His hand, and said, "You're saved."

And as we sit in the shadow of our God,

He places His hand on us and nods,

"I love you dearly children," He says.

"And I welcome you as citizens of Heaven."
