Bob Cratchit loved the vase his mother gave him before she died. One day he got home to find Tiny Tim upset because he had accidentally broken the vase.
"Tim," he told his son, "It's just a vase. As long as you and your brother and sisters are alright that's all that matters"
"Peter said you're going to get mad"
"Have I ever gotten mad," he asked his son
Tiny Tim shook his head.
"now go wash up for dinner. I earned enough money to take you and your sisters and brother and mum out for dinner tonight. I'm going to have a word with Peter now"
Bob walked into Peter's room.
"Have I ever gotten mad," he asked
"No sir but Tiny Tim broke your lamp. That lamp meant everything to you"
Bob sighed.
"I did love that lamp," he said, "But that lamp is not important. Your brother and sisters and you are important. Now go wash up. You'll be dining at home tonight. I'm taking your brother and sisters and mum out. You'll have to skip out on it"
Peter pouted.
"That's not fair," he said
"Well teasing your brother wasn't fair either," Bob pointed out.
"Dad please let him come," Tiny Tim said from the door, "It won't be the same without him."
"You could learn a lesson from your brother here Peter," Bob said, "Go wash up. I love you and I think you need to apologize to your brother"
"Sorry Timmy"
"That's okay," Tiny Tim said
