It's that time of year again...time for fear

Carly lay still; her eyes closed and her breath calm. The warm waters of her bath kept her body calm and relaxed that night. Letting out a sigh, the young woman could feel her hair gently float around her. Weakly-burning candles glistened around her, letting their smoke coat the ceiling. Carly, acting like a child, divided the waters with her hands, making a slight splashing sound in her ears. Her cheeks growing red and overly warm, the girl rose out, draped herself in a towel, and departed from the room that night. Around her, the world was cold and without emotion. Visions flashed through her young mind; remembering that look Sam had on her face when she slashed her own arm. The blood that fell, forever staining the walls around her. Like a scared child, Carly just ran, and soaked her mind in the warm waters of that bath. Later that same horrid night, Freddie started pulling them out; one by one. Soon, every one of the hairs on his head were dropped on the ground like lifeless feathers of a dead bird. Then, laughing like his friends just told him a joke, the boy put the pistol in his mouth, and pulled the trigger to silence himself. Gasping in pure horror, Carly covered her eyes, closed her eyes to ignore the blood splattering everything, and ran into that room, where she rested in the warm waters. Spencer knocked on the door, sounding gentle as ever. Wrapping herself in her pink, fluffy towel, the teenager slowly walked over to the door, and gently pushed it open. Her older brother was standing straight in front of her; he was smiling, as usual. Then, without warning, he dropped onto the floor, and faded from visibility. No longer human, no longer attached, the childlike side of Carly let out one final scream, then soaked away everything in that bath.

Now the candles have burned out; their light gone, and the waters have grown cold and unfeeling; like the rest of the world. Still, Carly soaked herself away from the horrid things surrounding her. Gently slipping deeper into that same water, the girl felt her vision fade, and let the bloody sludge that was once her calming bath water. Soon, the girl could no longer feel herself as she faded away; fade away from everything.
