Vayne and her teacher Frey made a south trip. Vayne helped Frey in disguise, and fooled Demacia's garrison. When they returned to the Vayne's home, they began training year after year. During these years, a lot of people have proposed to Vayne, but she had no interest in it. She was just focused on training with Frey. Over time, the relationship of them grew closer. Frey taught Vayne a lot about the basics of dark magic. Vane took to heart every word of Frey's teachings. But at the same time, Vayne was a little unsettled. She didn't know how Frey knew so much about the vicious methods.
After several years of study, they began to dive into the border jungle hunting. Soon, vane killed the first dark mage for her. In the years that followed, Vayne and Frey began hunting dark creatures everywhere, and their bonds deepened in their killing. One day, Vayne suddenly realized that she loved Frey as much as she loved her mother. But after one thing, it all changed again.
It was late at night in the mountains, and Vayne felt a bit dazed. There are a little worry in her heart: she is afraid of losing Frey to give her a mother's love again. Before she could express her concern, a dark mage darted out of the trees and hit Vayne on the shoulder. They began to fight, but the enemy was too strong for them. Frey looked at Vayne hesitantly, but her eyes quickly grew firm. She apologized to Vayne, and Frey's appearance began to change. A familiar appearance comes to Vayne's eye: the woman who killed her family.
Frey ended the fight quickly. As she looked at Vayne, Vayne was in tears. She explained to Vayne that she did so to gain strength, and that she was protecting Vayne. Vayne raised his head and thrust the sword into Frey's body.
With Frey's death, the warmth between them was gone. Vayne never trusted anyone again. She became a ruthless hunter. All her life, she had been searching for dark magicians.
