For everything, there was a price to pay.

Mokuba had known that much to be true.

But still he had hoped.

He always hoped.

When Noah appeared in the Virtual World, he was family, as it turned out.

With his reserved, misguided, and torn heart and his true colors revealed all because of the lonely existence that was his virtual world, Mokuba thought that maybe, just maybe, Noah would be have the chance to be human again and that everything would be all right.

But then he disappeared, just after saving Seto, everyone else, and Mokuba from the virtual world's destruction and Gozaburo's madness. To finally rest, yes, but he never came back.

Even though he promised he would.

However Mokuba never forgot Noah. He always thought of his stepbrother from time to time, but he had lost a part of his family.

And he knew.

Even after the frost, there was always a price to pay.
