Bella's POV:
"Hey, Edward?" I mumbled sleepily. I heard his soft-as-rose-petals sigh.
"Yes, Bella?" he replied. "You should really get some sleep, you know." I held a finger to his cold lips.
"Not now, Edward. I want to know one thing first. Why do you love me?" I questioned.
Edward pursed his perfect lips and replied, "Bella… You're the most beautiful human being on this cursed earth. I feel an attraction to you, a strange one, not just bloodlust, something… More, like love. You're kind, different, and braver than any other lamb a lion has fell in love with." At this point, he grinned, and I laughed.
"Edward, you sound like any other boyfriend answering his girlfriend," I complained. Edward chuckled, and nuzzled my head with his forehead.
"Oh, do I?" said Edward as he raised one eyebrow. "Bella, vampires have a wholly different feeling when it comes to love. It's… It's hard to explain, exactly. But why worry about all that now, when we're together already? Let's just enjoy this peaceful night together, like we always do." He curved his lips upward into a smile, and I had to smile back.
"Okay, Edward," I mumbled before sleep overtook me, and I intertwined his fingers with mine.
