Failure

As he stood, frozen to his spot, he felt the sting of defeat begin to fill his soul as he beheld the sight in front of him. Soos, Wendy, Robbie, Pacifica, Gideon, Stanford, Stanley, Mcgucket, and Mabel, all were dead, their bloody, beaten, and bruised corpses covering the floor in their pathetic excuse of a containment circle, meant to slay the demon who hovered in front of Dipper. The demon's laughter echoed throughout the room, making his ears ring.

"Nice try Pine Tree, you actually had me worried there for a moment!"

"It…..failed," he said, disbelief in his voice as he sunk to his knees.

"Big time kid," he laughed, "I mean, I've seen some stupid plans in my time, but this one takes the cake!"

"…Are….are they…?"

"Dead? Oh, they're deader than dead kid, and it's all thanks to you."

Dipper said nothing as the gravity of the situation began to set in. Dead. Everyone he cared about was dead because of his plan. His friends, his grunkles, and even his sister, all were gone and nothing could bring them back.

"Ah cheer up kid, at least you have your health."

"…Me…." The boy mumbled.

"What was that Pine Tree?"

"Kill me, please. Just do it already," the boy said, his voice devoid of all emotion.

An eerie silence fell over the room, lasting for a few moments before the demon's laughter broke it. "Kill you? Why the hell would I kill you?"

Dipper looked up at the demon, a sickening feeling filling his soul.

"I'm not going to kill you Pine Tree, the complete opposite actually," he said, snapping his fingers, causing Dipper's body to be enveloped by a golden glow, which faded moments later.

Dipper felt his body involuntarily lurch as a new power filled it. He managed to steady himself a few moments later. "What the hell did you do to me you Demonic Dorito!?" he growled loudly.

"Just helping you join my club," he laughed.

"What club?"

"The Untouchables Club. It consists of everyone immortal and unable to be killed, so welcome Pine Tree."

"….What?" he asked quietly.

"My plan never involved killing you kid, just killing everyone else. Being immortal gets boring, so I was looking for a new plaything, and now I've got one," he said, a smirk in his voice, "now if you excuse me, it's a big world out there, and someone needs to corrupt it." With the mere snap of his fingers, the demon left the room, leaving Dipper alone.

He was Immortal? In the beginning, those words made no sense, leaving him to sit there among the corpses. And then, it hit him. He couldn't die. Bill had taken away his only chance to not only rid himself of the guilt this incident had caused, but his one chance to see all his friends again. The world was doomed, everyone he knew was doomed, everyone he cared about was dead, and it was all his fault. He would be stuck, living with the guilt, for the rest of time.

Bill had won.

Dipper had lost.

They had failed.
