Chapter one
Percy
Yet another game of capture the flag come and gone. My team won.
"Campfire!", shouted Chiron.
All the demigods started walking over to the campfire.
"Percy!", someone behind me shouts.
I turn around. Annabeth tackle-hugs me. We hold hands and walk towards the fire pit. As always, we sit together.
After an hour or so of s'mores and singing, Annabeth pulls me away from the campfire, to the beach.
"Goodnight, seaweed brain."
She pulls me closer and kissed me. I kiss her back. Her stormy grey eyes are glistening in the moonlight. She laughs. Man, I love that girl.
"Percy and Annabeth sitting in a tree," two voices behind me chant. Me and Annabeth break apart, and turn around. Obviously, it's Travis and Conner Stool, the troublemakers at Camp Half Blood. I shoot them eye daggers.
They laugh, and run away. Annabeth rolls her eyes, but smiles.
"Goodnight, wise girl."
We hold hands and walk back to our cabins.
I have no problem sleeping. The second my head touches the pillow, I'm asleep.
I'm walking down by the strawberry patch with Annabeth. No one is in sight. Annabeth sprints forwards.
"Catch me if you can, seaweed brain!"
Suddenly, a portal appears. Two kids about my age jump through it. There is a boy with a hammer in his hand. The other kid, a girl, is holding a bow made of bone. She doesn't have any arrows. When the boy notices us, he holds up the hammer, glaring at us, ready to attack. The girl is arguing with him. He pushes her away.
"Who are you?", he demands.
"I am the son of Poseidon. This is the daughter of Athena. Harm us, and we will destroy you."
"I am the living embodiment of Thor. She is Loki."
The girl transformed into a wolf. She growled. The boy's necklace started vibrating. A dozen trolls burst through the woods. A sphere of water started forming in my hands.
I thrust the water at the trolls. At the same time, the boy hurled the hammer. The monsters all disintegrated in a fraction of a second. The hammer flew back to the boy. The ground started trembling. A serpent's head smashed through the ground. He hissed and dove at the boy. The boy raised his hammer, ready to strike.
"Percy. Wake up, man!"
Grover, goat man, is looking at me, with a concerned expression on his face.
"Dude, you were glowing blue! What happened?", he asked.
For some reason, I just forgot what had happened.
"Bad dream? I don't know.", I responded, trying to reassure him.
"I'm getting Chiron. You look nauseous.", says Grover. I know it's hopeless to try to argue.
We walk through the camp. Everyone else is asleep. It's still pretty early in the morning. I guess Grover is right: I do feel a bit nauseous.
"Chiron? Percy's feeling a bit sick. Apparently, he had a bad dream. I'll let you two work out the details.", said Grover. He turned back, and left.
"Have a seat, Percy." Chiron motioned to a seat. I sat.
"What happened?", Chiron asked.
"Was sleeping, obviously, and I had a nightmare. I don't quite remember it."
Suddenly, the memory came back. I described it to Chiron.
"Interesting. I believe,"said Chiron. I think I know what's coming next. "That it's time for yet another quest."
I knew he'd say that.
AN: please review. I need feedback: who should go on the quest?
