Notes: Okay, so in the episode she woke up in the infirmary, and it seemed like it was the first time she'd seen him. But lets just pretend she woke up on the ship as well.

Colonel Jack O'Neill arrived in the Gate Room to find two medics already waiting for him. Hammond, Daniel and Teal'C were also there to see them off. "Are we all set?" He asked the medics. Receiving two nods, he turned to Hammond. "We're ready to go, General."
"See you in a few minutes, Jack," Daniel smiled.
"Yes, we will," Jack grinned. His second in command, Major Samantha Carter, had been missing on the Prometheus for four days, and he had been worried sick about her. The thought that he might never see her again had been torture.
Then, at 3:15am he was called to the Briefing Room. Hammond had informed him that Colonel Ronson, the Prometheus commander, had been in touch and that everything was now fine. He had explained what had happened, and how Sam had saved them.
The General had arranged with Ronson that he land on a nearby world with a Gate, so that they could collect Carter that morning, at 08:00 sharp. The Prometheus had a short way to go, and both commanders thought it best that Carter be returned to Earth a.s.a.p.
Now, it was 7:55, and the retrieval team were about to depart for the planet.
"Bring her home, Colonel," Hammond commanded.
"Gladly."

It was a short trek from the Gate to the Prometheus' landing place. The team were met by Colonel Ronson, who walked them to the Infirmary.
"...And I'll see you soon," Ronson said, as they crossed the entrance to the Infirmary. He shook Jack's hand, and then headed off back to the bridge.
Jack grinned as he spotted his blonde officer lying half asleep in the middle bed. He grinned and sat down at her bedside. Slowly, she opened her eyes and looked up at him. "Hey."
"Hey," he replied. "Good to see ya."
"You too," she smiled, weakly.
"Sam Carter saves the day again," he winked. "You did good."
"Thanks."
"You had us worried," he told her, patting her arm. "Teal'C's been going insane with worry. It's quite frightening when a Jaffa is worried."
"I bet," she laughed slightly. "Ouch."
"I brought a couple of my friends along, there's Zippy and that one, with the weird hair, that's Riley. They're going to get you home," he told her, pointing to the two guards who were waiting in the corner, with a stretcher.
"I can walk, I've been walking around the ship for weeks with this head injury," she objected. "I'm okay."
"Weeks? Yes, you are okay. But just let them carry you. It'll make me feel better if you do," he asked. "You need to rest, you must be exhausted."
"Okay," she nodded. "Since you asked so nicely."
"Thank you," Jack said. "Boys," he called. "Let's get her home."
"Yes sir," Ziplinski replied.
Jack watched as they moved her on to the stretcher, and carried her off. He followed at her side. "See, why object to this? It's fun," he shrugged.
But she didn't hear him, she was all ready fast asleep.
He laughed and shook his head. It sure was good to have her back.
