Hello everyone! This is a new story of mine, Loves Audacity. Basically, it is Loves Simplicity with Sadie and Anubis. SadieKane031798 wanted me to do this, so this story is dedicated to her. So… Yeah. I guess Sadie will do the disclaimer.

Anubis and I were walking along the beach of fire in the duat, since it was one of our favorite date spots. I know, a beach of fire is not a common favorite date spot, which is actually sort of why we like it, because we are always by ourselves. No one else is ever there, except occasionally Carter and Zia when they want to "keep us in check", whatever they mean by that. But today was our lucky day, my idiot brother decided not to crash our date.

Anubis was acting especially strange today. He wouldn't look me in the eyes, and he had to wipe his sweaty palms on his jeans about twenty times already. He looked genuinely nervous.

"Are you OK?" I asked him.

"No… I mean maybe… I mean, well, I will be." He stopped in his tracks. I stopped as well. He turned to face me. "Sadie…"

"Yes?" I answered, stooping down a bit since he still wasn't looking at me. I reached my hand out, and lifted his chin up so he was looking directly at me. "Anubis…"

"We have been going out for over nine years now Sadie, and I just…"

"Yes?"

"I really have… learned to… love you."

"I've learned to love you too." I laughed.

"And you, you complete me, make me a better person, the person I am supposed to be."

"You mean the god you are supposed to be?"

He laughed. "Exactly. And… even though I am the God of Death, you make me feel more alive than any living person on this Earth. You are my life force Sadie; I don't think I could live without you, which is why I want to ask you… Sadie Juliana Ruby Kane, will you marry me?" At these last few lines, Anubis knelt down on one knee and brought out of his pocket a violet velvet box, and when he opened it, a gorgeous gold-banded ring with a HUGE shiny diamond in the middle lay within it.

I stared at him in shock. "Are… are you serious?"

He laughed. "Of course I am serious."

"Bloody… yes!" I screeched tears forming at the corner of my eyes. Anubis slipped the ring on my finger and stood up and twirled me around. When he put me down, I grabbed him and pulled him into a passionate kiss.

"I love you." I whispered when we broke apart.

"I love you more." He whispered back. I smiled, and leaned into his chest, and together, we finished the most memorable walk on the beach we would ever take.
