Emily walked slowly into the room. The air around her was heavy. She sat at her sit and looked at the thick glass in front of her. A small smile appeared in her face as she saw Victoria sitting behind the other side of the glass. Tears of happiness appeared in her eyes. Her smile grow bigger and her heart started beating faster. This was it. This was the last scene of their play. This was the last scene of her journey. This was the last scene of her vengeance. She moved her hand slowly to the phone on her left. She could see Victoria looking at her with eyes full of hate. She could see that Victoria was exhausted. But she was trying to look powerful, she was trying to look like everything was under control. Emily moved the phone to her ear and locked her eyes with Victoria's. She waited a few seconds before Victoria take the phone near her. They looked at each other for a few seconds in silence and then Victoria spoke.
«And I thought you had dropped your revenge» Victoria said with and ironic smile on her face. Emily let out a small guffaw, scratched her forehead with her free hand and then she talked.
«That's not my revenge Victoria.» Her voice was almost a whisper. She didn't want to be there for much longer. She didn't want o be around the person that destroyed her life any more. Keeping her eyes on her enemy's she took a last deep breath, she bite the inside of her cheek and moved herself closer to the window.
«That's Aiden's» She said and then stood up quickly and got herself out of the room as quick as possible.
The grass under her feet was smooth. She walked slowly keeping the bouquet close to her chest. She could see his grave even from that far away. She walked slowly feeling her heart getting heavier. Feeling the pain getting over her body.
She kneeled in front of the grave and touched the bouquet gently between her knees and the headstone. She wiped her tears away and took a deep breath. That huge amount of fresh oxygen made her feel a little better and she manage to find her voice again.
«It's over Aiden. She is over. » She touched gently the cold marble and tears appeared again in her eyes. She didn't bother to wipe them away. She didn't care. She smile to the grave and kept talking.
«She is in prison. She paid for what she did to you. She is where she belongs. And you are free.» Now there was a huge sob that escape her lips. She tried to stop it but she couldn't. So she stayed there for minutes sobbing. Crying her heart out. Memories came in her mind. It was like she could hear his voice.
Right now I'm happy, when I'm with you is the only time I've felt peace.
We can still move on. We can build a future together.
She put her face in her palms.

She turned her eyes on the grave and silence surround her. And then again. Again his voice came into her mind.

You are free.» She said and touched for one more time the headstone. She bent down to kiss the marble. To kiss him. To kiss her fiancé. To kiss her Aiden.
