It had been a normal mission; some bank robbers had hostages and demanded the code to the safe.

Things had been going according to plan when a ricochet bullet had hit one of the hostages killing her instantly.

Robin could only stare in shock, one moment she had been saved and the next she was gone.

Now he was back at the mansion lying on his bed contemplating death, why did things like this happen? He couldn't take it any more; he had to get out of there.

Robin tore out of the room, jumped onto his motorcycle, and drove.

He just drove, he didn't know how long he drove, he didn't know where he was, and he didn't care.

He finally stopped and looked around, it was about 3 in the afternoon and he was next to a large brown building in a small town setting.

He decided to find out where he was, so he entered the building. He had been looking for a help desk and he found one, although not the kind he had been looking for.

He had entered a large white room with brown chairs seated around a small stage, up on the wall was a large wooden cross.

Realizing where he was, Robin sat down in the back row and noticed a bible on the seat next to him with a large silver cross on it.

His parents had always raised him a Christian, but the day they died he had cursed God and walked away from his faith.

He bowed his head and let a few tears slide from under his sunglasses, he felt so lost.

Just then, the door at the opposite end of the room swung open.

"Just a minute mom, I left my Bible!" a young girls voice shouted and then the door closed.

She stopped when she saw him and slowly approached him.

The girl had dark hair, glasses, and wore a bright red shirt.

"Hey, are you ok?" she asked after seeing his tear stained face.

He attempted a weak smile.

"Not really." She gave him a small smile and sat next to him to show she was listening.

"I'm just so confused, I used to be Christian but when I saw all the things God was allowing…I tried to walk away. If God loves us so much, why do bad things happen?" she thought for a moment and replied.

"God allows bad things to happen, so that he can show that he has a greater plan. We may not like it at first, but in the end we realize it was the best way."

He mulled over her words.

She had a point, if his parents hadn't died he would have never become Robin, never formed the team, never saved the world.

"D-do you think God will have me back?" he whispered.

"Of course, and no matter what you do, he will always be ready to have you back" Somewhere outside, a horn honked. The girl's head snapped up and she stood up.

"I have to go. By the way, I'm Rebecca."

"Dick, don't forget your bible" he said handing her the bible next to him.

"You know what, keep it. My phone number is in there, if you have any questions you can call me" She gave him a hug and left as suddenly as she came.

He smiled after her and looked in the bible. There, highlighted in pink, was the verse.

Because this son of mine was dead and is alive again-he was lost and found!
