When Forever Ends
He sat under the trees staring off at the crystal lake before him. He didn't know what to do anymore...
The breeze swiftly lifted the fallen leaves beside him, blowing his silver hair off the ground. It was autum, one of his favorite seasons. When life would slowly die until spring, where it would grow again, a never ending cycle.
Naraku died a long time ago, by his little hanyou brother, and his human friends. Rin was long gone; deciding to finally marry.
Sesshoumaru was sick of everything; for fighting his little brother for a fang, for killing for no reason, for being cold. For being lonely.
He picked himself up when the sunset, darkness setting in and stars sprouting in the night sky. He walked toward the north, where the forest was, his hair swaying with each graceful step he took. He stopped by the village where Rin was, wanting to see her before visiting Inuyasha. He saw her with her husband, the little kit that hung around his brother. They had fallen in loved a while ago and they had gotten married as soon as they were old enough. He allowed a small smile grace his face as he saw how happy his pup was with her new family. He then continued on to the forest, not needing to rest during the long journey. He was a demon after all.
As he got near the village, he met up with Inuyasha. After all, his brother probably didn't want him anywhere near his human village. He was a demon after all.
"What are you doing here," Inuyasha grounded out through clentched teeth "you're not welcomed"
He didn't answer, giving no clue that he even heard him. He just kept walking until he was almost near the village. He didn't know why he was here, he just had a sudden urge to see the God Tree. He didn't know why, it wouldn't make much of a difference. He hardly stepped a few feet closer to the village when his fathers fang was shoved into his back. He gasped and clutched his stomache where the sword pierce straight through him. He swayed a little before falling onto his knees, stunned. Apparently Inuyasha was stunned too, because all he could do was stare in shock at his brother as he clutched his wound, whimpering. Inuyasha expected his brother to dodge, or atleast try and stop him.
"Un..nn...Inuyaha..," Sesshoumaru whimpered " you could atleast waited to kill me.. a-after..a-a-autum w-was over. T-the cycles... not complete yet. I'll miss my favorite season."
He gasped a few more times before he slumped forward and onto the ground. Now he can rest in peace for eternity. He wasn't mad that his brother killed him, he was a demon after all. He wouldn't be lonely any more. He has all of eternity with the stars. After all, eternity last a long time.
The trees shifted when the wind brought the first sign of winter. The ending of the cycle until spring. Yes, he had all of eternity to be happy, atleast until forever ends. He was just glad that forever was a long time. After that, he wouldn't mind being lonely again.
Prejudice can be a very hateful thing. Many people died during the tragedy of 9/11, all because people couldn't get along. You shouldn't judge people by there differences, because then everyone should hate each other because we are all different. That's what makes us who we are. Wars just kill people for pointless reasons that will probably nevern be resolved. Violence isn't the answer to anything since it will only bring pain. countless of people dieing until one side loses and all there pain and fighting was for nothing. My heart goes out to all that lost loved ones or friends that got killed in the attack of the twin towers, or even in the war with Iraq. They are probably watching over you from the stars. They aren't lonely, they have everyone else.
