He sat on a rooftop, a solitary figure, hidden in the shadows like a predator waiting for the right moment to strike. Watching...he found himself always watching the other without meaning to, finding his gaze pulled toward him again and again. When had he allowed this to happen? How cold he have allowed himself to stray from all he had been taught...all he had lived by.

"Fool your growing soft." A quiet voice whispered deep in the back of his mind.

It was a voice Kakashi new well. It was part of who he was, the dark and deadly half of him that he only allowed out when he was in Anbu.

"Shut up Wolf." Kakashi growled annoyed that Wolf had decided to comment on his problem.

"Now Kakashi you shouldn't be talking to yourself...people might think your going insane." Wolf murmured sounding amused.

"Enough!" Kakashi snapped keeping his voice low so he wouldn't draw attention to himself. It had been a long time since he had heard Wolf outside of his Anbu days. If this continued to happen then he would have to go and see Ibiki about it. He wasn't going crazy, Wolf was simply his other half...his Anbu self to be more precise. When he was on his Anbu missions he was Wolf and when he was off he was Kakashi. It wasn't uncommon for Anbu members, former and present, to have another persona. It was a way many of them dealt with what they had to do.

"I don't mean anything by it. I'm just concerned...after all I am part of you and whatever happens to you happens to me." Wolf stated.

"I know that already." Kakashi answered.

"Just be careful Kakashi. You don't want to grow attached. He might break us..." Wolf said softly before going quiet.

Kakashi nodded in agreement as he relaxed once again and continued to watch the academy below. If he didn't stop himself now then he would end up falling in love with the beautiful Chuunin. Was it something he could risk though? Could he put himself at risk by giving himself the hope that Iruka would want him. What if he was rejected? He glanced down when he heard the academy bell ring signaling the end of class. Taking a deep breath Kakashi made his way to Iruka classroom.

Iruka had been startled to say the least when Kakashi appeared at the door of his classroom. The first thought that ran through his mind was if something had happened to Naruto, Sakura, or Sasuke. He then remembered that no missions had been assigned to team seven. Relaxing a little Iruka gave Kakashi a weary look. Why would Kakashi be here?

"Is there somthing you need, Kakashi-sensei?" Iruka asked grabbing the rest of the test quizzes he had corrected and putting them away.

"No, not really...but I was wondering if you'd like to have dinner with me?" Kakashi asked sounding unsure.

Iruka gave him a surprised look, but once the words had sunk in he gave Kakashi a smile.

"Sure why not..."

Somewhere deep in Kakashi's subconscious Wolf growled. It was the beginning of the end, he could feel it. The sweet, kind little Chuunin was going to be the end of them and there was nothing he could do about it. If only Iruka knew what he was getting himself into. The poor guy wouldn't know what hit him...because once Kakashi fell in love he feel hard.
