Well, here she was. Today was the big day. Behind her, John and Michael listened, beautiful in their purchased, especially for the occasion costumes. They did their best to hide their emotion ... and their secret jealousy to have to leave their sister again after having been lost her for so many years.

The dress choke her a little but it does not matter. This is a beautiful silk dress so sweet it seems to be made of water. But all that is secondary. This is not why she's there.

When the priest had finished his speech, he would ask the usual question and Wendy finally say "yes" to the man of her life.

An ironic coincidence had wanted that his name was Peter too.

He was everything she wanted, the person who lit his days and gave meaning to his life. Whoever made her smile when she wanted to cry and sing when the world was raining.

However, when the priest turned to her, raising the question so expected, Wendy could not help but turn slightly to contemplate the driveway. She could almost see the figure that should stick there furiously oppose this marriage, as its owner was present in every thought, to each of her inspirations. The figure who once offered her an acorn.

But there was no one.

She faced the priest. A smile form up on her lips, as it should be.

"Yes I do."

There would never be anyone.

I just want to say that I don't speak fluently English, so I suppose there will be a lot of fault in my text but for me, it was a obligation to write a story with Peter Pan in English because this story is so linked to the English culture.I think the atmosphere, the expressions, the characters are better rendered in English (I especially love the shaping of your novels!), although I can therefore make less figure of speech Well, I apologize for my ( probably several) fault, please, don't hesitate to correct me (review !:P ) .If you're interested, I also wrote this story in French ( ma native language).

A short OS a little sad, but I always imagined that the day of her marriage, either in the original or whatever adapation, Wendy, on the day of her wedding, a hope that through Peter would be. I see her very well turn her head and take a sad look alley because she knows he will not be there.
