Look, as I've said well over fifty times, I don't own pokemon. How hard is
that to remember?
The Fight
By Farla
The two powerful pokemon attacked each other in earnest. One is a nidoqueen, the other a blastoise. The nidoqueen is much lower level and at a type disadvantage, not to mention that she is tired from her last opponent, but she is holding her own, despite the super-effective water attacks her opponent keeps hitting her with and the stupidity of her trainer.
"Use ice beam!"
No! she yells silently, already obeying and using the attack even though she knows the blastoise has a resistance.
"Blastoise, body slam!"
The huge pokemon, completely ignoring the ice beam, leaps a short distance into the air and lands on her. Stunned by the force and with her vision flashing black, she struggles to free herself.
Managing to disentangle herself at long last from the bulk of the huge turtle-like pokemon, she stands back up, swaying slightly.
"Use take down!"
She is nearly fainted, meaning this is the worst time to use an attack that would damage her, but she obeys, even though she hears the other trainer say to use hydro pump. At close range…
She uses take down, holding on through pure will as she feels her body try to shut down from the new damage. Then, less then an inch away from her, the blastoise unleashes hydro pump.
Then she is about twenty feet away. She knows she must have blacked out from the force, because she doesn't remember anything and she can see from the long grove in front of her she was just skidded across the field. Her back feels like someone has just skinned it and then poured salt into the wound. Ignoring the firecrakers going off in her head, she stumbles back up somehow. She has no idea how she is still conscious but she is determined to win.
"Use take down again!"
She almost screams, but obeys once again. Her vision fades out completely and she falls to her knees, but she can hear the other pokemon fall and be recalled.
Oblivious to her current state, her trainer does not recall her. She is still moving and can still fight. Her trainer doesn't care about anything else.
Her vision is slowly returning. She sees the other trainer finger her pokeballs thoughtfully.
"Go, jynx!"
The jynx is even higher level then the blastoise. Both its ice and its psychic attacks will be super effective against her. The other trainer has chosen well.
"Nidoqueen, use ice beam!"
She would have screamed then, but she was too tired. Of all the stupid things, using ice beam on an ice pokemon must be the dumbest. Automatically, she forms the ice beam and somehow focuses her eyes enough to hit the jynx.
In response, the other trainer orders a super-effective blizzard attack, the strongest ice attack. By all rights, she should have fainted at the body slam attack, was it not for her iron will to win. She feels the shards of ice imbed themselves into her flesh, and then nothing.
She regains consciousness suddenly. The temperature is different, and she can feel that the sun's rays are warmer on her skin. Her trainer stands above her, with her pokeball in hand. Looking around, she quickly notices that this is not the same place as before, meaning she was recalled and then released here.
She may be conscious but she might as well still be fainted. Her body is numb with huge swaths of agony in places. She can scarcely move, let alone stand. She worries for a moment that her trainer has brought her out to battle, but that is not the reason.
Her trainer kicks her a few times. "You stupid, worthless, loser pokemon! You lost! You can stay here if you're this weak!"
With that, her trainer walks away.
