Horse ride

Jon rushed into Ponch's apartment room, he found Ponch half asleep on the couch watching TV. He was still in his pajamas, a pair of short shorts, and a t-shirt.

"Ponch?" Jon asked. Ponch's eyes popped open really wide.

"Jon? What are you…" Ponch started, but then yawned.

"Um, I was wondering if you wanted to go somewhere with me."

"Where?"

"It's a surprise," Jon said.

"Uh-huh, well ok let me go throw on a pair of jeans….unless we are going to the beach…"

"No, we aren't," Jon said.

"K, I'll be right back," Ponch said as he slowly pulled himself off the couch, and walked to his room.

Meanwhile….

There wasn't much talk in the truck, and Ponch ended up falling asleep. Soon Jon pulled into where he wanted to go. It was the horse stables, he was visiting Old Grey, and his new horse Kelsey.

"Hey, Ponch wake up. We're here," Jon said shaking his partner a little.

"Where's here?" Ponch asked tiredly before opening his eyes.

"Open your eyes and find out," Jon said. Ponch yawned, and slowly open his eyes. When he figured out where they were, he wasn't all that excited.

"Cheer up, Ponch Old Grey likes to see ya. I got a new horse too," Jon said.

"Jon, I don't care if the horse likes to see me…I'm not thrilled to see it," Ponch said. He got comfortable again and tried falling asleep.

"Come on, Ponch you can sleep whenever you want to, but you can be with horses…." Jon started.

"They won't hurt you," Jon added. Slowly Ponch got out of the truck, and followed Jon to the stables to see Jon's horses.

"I was hoping you'd be willing to ride Old Grey. He needs some exercise. I can't ride both at the same time," Jon said.

"No thanks, Jon…I've ridden a horse before, I've fallen off a horse before. I don't wanna do it again, they can get scared of really little things…."

"Hey, give Old Grey a chance, please. Just this once, then I'll never make you do it again….or even ask you to do it again." Jon was desperate to get someone to ride a horse with him.

"Never?"

"Never, I promise. That is, unless you enjoy it."

"I….."

"Come on, please? I'd do it for you…." Jon started.

"Ok, fine," Ponch finally said.

Meanwhile…

"Why'd I agree to this? I should've stuck with no," Ponch said to himself, Jon and Ponch were in the woods.

"Relax, Ponch its ok," Jon said. Then Old Grey saw a snake.

"Hey, calm down Old Grey, just don't look at the snake," Jon said. Ponch wasn't sure how to react, because honestly, if he were Old Grey, he'd be freaked out too. Jon was doing his best to help keep the situation under control, but then the snake got closer. Old Grey was freaking out and making a lot of sudden movements and acting like he was gonna run off. Everything happened so fast, Jon didn't even notice Ponch fall until he heard laughing. Ponch hadn't seen the snake till now and then realized it was just a rubber snake. He slowly crawled towards the snake and picked it up.

"Hey, it's all good…just a fake snake," Ponch said showing it to Old Grey. But the horse did NOT want to see it. Old Grey began to back up and act all scared. Ponch smiled at Jon. "Well I've got one thing in common with this horse," he said.

Jon hopped down and went over to Ponch "You alright? You fell off a horse…"

"I'm fine, Baker. I've fallen off worse," Ponch replied with a smirk.

Jon sighed "Well let's get back to the barn then decide if you're ok or not."

"Ok, thanks, Sarge," Ponch joked.

Then he and Jon broke into a fit of laughter.

"So did you actually like the horse ride?" Jon finally asked.

"Oh I don't know…"Ponch started.

As he and Jon made their way back to the stable Ponch kept avoiding that question. Jon wasn't sure if Ponch actually enjoyed it or not. But based off all the fun they had together he guessed that Ponch liked it. Then at the very end of the day Jon got his answer.

"Baker…when can we do this again?"
