Rob and Laura threw a dinner party, one Saturday night. People from work were there, along with some of their neighbors.
At 8:00PM, Rob got up. "Excuse me a moment, everyone."
The guests quieted down.
"I decided to do something a little different, this evening. I've invited a hypnotist to entertain us. He's an old army buddy. So let's give a big hand to Krestin the Great!"
The guests clapped. He stood up and faced them.
"I'd like a volunteer, please."
No one was quite willing to do this! He looked around, and settled on Sally. "How about you?"
"Me? Oh, no, I wouldn't be a good subject!"
But the guests cheered, so she reluctantly got up.
He said a few words to her, and soon she was in a trance.
He pointed to the area near the front door. "There is a vat of grapes over there. Do you see it?"
"Yes."
"You must stomp on the grapes."
She sat in a chair and took her shoes and stockings off. The she got up and walked over to the "vat." She climbed in and began stomping on the "grapes." The guests clapped rhythmically, and she stomped to the rhythmic clapping.
"Great job! You can come out, now," he said after about a minute.
The group cheered. She got out and snatched a paper tower from a table. She sat in a chair and wiped the "grape juice" off of her feet. People laughed at this.
He picked up a wine bottle and showed it to her. "This is wine from the grapes you stomped on. You've just drank a whole bottle of it."
She became "drunk." "Hi, everyone!"
Guests said "Hi!"
"Nies party, Rob!"
"Thank you!," he said.
Then she looked at herself. "How come I'm barefoot?"
"You just stomped on grapes," said Krestin.
"Did I do a good job?"
"Yes, you did."
"Tha's nies!"
People laughed.
"It is now the next morning."
She groaned and rubbed her "hung-over" head.
"And it is now a few hours later."
She felt "better."
"Now, I want you to go to five people in this room and NON-VERBALLY show them how you feel towards them."
She got up and went over to Rob. She hugged and kissed him.
Laura was sitting next to him. She went over and gave her a sisterly hug and kiss.
Buddy was nearby. She gave him a kiss.
Next, she went to Mel. She gave him a warm hug and kiss.
Finally, she walked to Allen Brady. She began pounding him with her hands. So voracious was her attack that she knocked him to the ground! The guests were shocked to see this. Krestin ran over and quickly woke her up.
She looked around. Her boss was lying at her bare feet-and she didn't know why!
"Uh. . . Well," she stammered.
Rob got up. "Folks, let's give a warm hand for Krestin the Great!"
Everybody cheered.
It took a lot of convincing on the part of Rob, Buddy, and Mel to keep Allen from firing poor Sally!
