Turn 1: The Dream
"If I grant you power… could you go on?"
A green haired girl popped out of nowhere as Bella continuously cried and grieved for her dead mother and the punishment they have received from her father.
"I propose a deal." She crouched in front of her and stared at her teary eyes. "In exchange for power you must agree to make my one wish come true. Accept this contract and you accept its conditions."
"While living in the world with humans, you will like unlike any other."
"A different providence, a different time, a different life."
"The power of the king will condemn you to a life of solitude."
She stood and reached out a hand for her to take.
"Are you prepared for this?"
Bella heard a voice on her head that tells her to accept the mysterious woman's proposition but her reasoning tells her not to. Just like what her siblings has taught her, she should choose and trust her own reasoning better than her own instinct and the judgment and influence of those around her. Despite the truth about trusting your own instinct, it does not guarantee you a checkmate, they have said.
However, Bella knew that that trusting the voice on her head… her instinct would guarantee her a checkmate.
"If you accept my offer, you will be able to fight for your loved ones and not see them die… just like what happened to your mother."
She did not knew what triggered it. Maybe it was when she said that she would be able to defend her loved ones… or the fact that she reminded her of her mother's death. For all she cared, she knew she must accept the offer… immediately.
"I…"
'I would be able to defend them.'
Scenes of happy memories flashed to the front of her mind—memories with her loved ones.
'Euphemia… Cornelia… Nunnally… and Lelouch. I can finally fight for them!'
"I accept your offer!"
The green haired girl gave a small, humorless smile as Bella placed her small hand on hers, effectively sealing the contract she offered.
Bella sat on her bed, still confused from the dream that she had.
A mysterious dream always bombard her sleep every night.
It starts with her crying on a place surrounded by lifeless bodies due to a bombing that took place. Then, it transitions to the appearance of the mysterious girl and her mysterious contract.
She doesn't remember when it happened to her. Heck, she even doubted that it was her own memories. For all she cared, some vampire must've used a power to her and inserted those fake memories.
Still…
'It's better to have this dream than…'
She trailed off as painful memories that took place last three months started to resurface again along with the familiar pain it brought.
