"Percy are you coming with me to the book store with me?" Sally Jackson called.
"In a minute Mom," Percy called back. Percy quickly grabbed Riptide off his dresser. "Coming," Percy yelled.
Later at the book store…
"I'll be looking for some books over in the Teen section,"
Percy said.
"Don't run into any monsters over there," his Mom said seriously.
"Mom!" Percy exclaimed.
" I just want you to be safe," his Mom explained
"Fine," Percy said with a sigh.
Percy walked over to the teen section and started browsing for books.
"The Lightning Thief What the, what lightning?" Percy said, he flipped the book over and read the back cover. "Mom come here!" he yelled.
"What is it sweetie, are you okay?" his Mom said as she came running to him.
"Mom I'm fine but, who is this Rick Riordan and what's he doing with the rights to my life's story," Percy asked.
" Well maybe……………………………………. I might have sold your rights for a little extra money," his Mom answered.
"You did that!!!!!!!!" Percy screamed.
"Yeah" his mom replied in a tiny voice.
"Fine," Percy said, "can I at least some of the money"
And with that Percy's trip to the book store ended.
